Our first double this season against the Iron at Glanford Park 22:49 - Mar 11 with 1282 views | durham_exile | After the euphoria of the win against Port Vale last weekend, the Super U’s travel to Scunny, Glanford Park (or the Sands Venue Stadium), seeking back-to-back wins, four games unbeaten and our first double of the season. These are exciting times to support the U’s, because in the most bizarre of circumstances after the misery of the defeat to Hartlepool we have avoided defeat in the next three games to bring us to the ultimate six pointer against the Iron. Table: Rochdale 33 38 Carlisle 34 37 COL U 35 36 Orient 33 35 Stevenage 35 34 Barrow 34 33 Oldham 33 31 Scunny 35 24 Defeating Scunny tomorrow will not relegate them, but it will present them with a task of herculean proportions to avoid dropping out of the English Football league. Keith Hill is the man in charge at Scunny and he knows the importance of every game now if they are to find at least another 26 points from 11 games (min 8 victories). Not an easy task. As far as we are concerned another 14 points from 11 games will be enough. Of course, securing those as soon as possible must be the aim. Scunny A* Bristol Rovers A FGR H (a game for Ukraine and live on Sky) Tranmere H Harrogate A* Stevenage H Exeter A Bradford H Newport A Walsall H Hartlepool A* WB will be buoyed by the recent and rare home victory. There can be no complacency however tomorrow. Team selection will depend on the sick and injured; Cole Skuse, Alan Judge and Owura Edwards are all doubtful, whilst Ryan Clampin is the one long-term injury. Tommy Smith does not join up with his fellow Kiwi’s for another week and will travel to Scunny. So, I would like to see WB go with something like this: George Coxe Chambers Dallison Kenlock Huws Wiredu Chilvers Hannant Akinde Sears Subs Hornby Smith Eastman Tchamadeu Marshall-Miranda Andrews Wright Scoreline, frankly time for another decisive away win 3-0 to the U’s. CUSA are taking two coaches including Noah and I know that Mr and Mrs Witham will be there with their Ukrainian flag. I am driving down from Durham to meet up with Gerry who has a somewhat shorter journey. All this suggests a decent Away following. The weather in Scunny will be 13 degrees Celsius sunny intervals and a fresh breeze. Possibly some rain showers too so a real mixed bag. Safe journey to the travelling faithful. Enjoy the game and three more valuable points towards another season in League Two. Up the U’s

Our first double this season against the Iron at Glanford Park on 12:22 - Mar 12 with 1209 views | noah4x4 | Two coaches and hoards of independently travelling U’s fans at Peterborough Services. Now nearing Doncaster, we must be leaving the A1 soon. Hugely important game for both sides. Can’t see us playing 4-3-3 or 4 - 4 - 2. WB under instructions from Humes will play one up front. Then when a goal in arrears, then switch to the team that should have started.

Safe journey Noah This is one of those games where were we to lose we don't deserve to keep our league status. I do hope that we do play a positive attacking line up. Up the U's

Our first double this season against the Iron at Glanford Park on 17:00 - Mar 12 with 1083 views | wessex_exile | Fantastic result. Sounded a lot closer than the scoreline suggests, with Scunnie down to 10 men for nearly an hour, but who cares. The cherry on the cake is Swindon snatch a 96th minute winner at home to Oldham, meaning the U's are now 8pts and +4 goal difference clear of relegation.

Well Wessex. How to sum up quickly. We were absolutely diabolical in the first half even when they had ten men Second half, same again until 10 minutes in when we make changes. Thereafter 15 minutes of the best football I have seen from U's in many years. Then at 3-1 up we return to the same old same old and gave Scunny every chance to get back in the game, hitting the post and bar. Tactical ineptitude again. If we had stayed on the front foot we could have had six as they looked down and out at 3-1 down but we obviously decided to make a game of it.
Our first double this season against the Iron at Glanford Park on 21:45 - Mar 12 with 971 views | gerry_us | Oh, an afterthought. The travelling support were absolutely brilliant today. An estimated 200+ sang their hearts out for the team, even during the crap moments which says a lot for the travelling supporter commitment.

OK, I know we were crap for 70 minutes and the "wonder goal" should have been disallowed for handball as per Scunny manager, but apart from that, did you enjoy three points?
