After the euphoria of the win against Port Vale last weekend, the Super U’s travel to Scunny, Glanford Park (or the Sands Venue Stadium), seeking back-to-back wins, four games unbeaten and our first double of the season.
These are exciting times to support the U’s, because in the most bizarre of circumstances after the misery of the defeat to Hartlepool we have avoided defeat in the next three games to bring us to the ultimate six pointer against the Iron.

Defeating Scunny tomorrow will not relegate them, but it will present them with a task of herculean proportions to avoid dropping out of the English Football league.
Keith Hill is the man in charge at Scunny and he knows the importance of every game now if they are to find at least another 26 points from 11 games (min 8 victories). Not an easy task.
As far as we are concerned another 14 points from 11 games will be enough. Of course, securing those as soon as possible must be the aim.

WB will be buoyed by the recent and rare home victory. There can be no complacency however tomorrow.
Team selection will depend on the sick and injured; Cole Skuse, Alan Judge and Owura Edwards are all doubtful, whilst Ryan Clampin is the one long-term injury.
Tommy Smith does not join up with his fellow Kiwi’s for another week and will travel to Scunny.

CUSA are taking two coaches including Noah and I know that Mr and Mrs Witham will be there with their Ukrainian flag. I am driving down from Durham to meet up with Gerry who has a somewhat shorter journey. All this suggests a decent Away following.
The weather in Scunny will be 13 degrees Celsius sunny intervals and a fresh breeze. Possibly some rain showers too so a real mixed bag.

Well Wessex. How to sum up quickly.
We were absolutely diabolical in the first half even when they had ten men
Second half, same again until 10 minutes in when we make changes. Thereafter 15 minutes of the best football I have seen from U's in many years. Then at 3-1 up we return to the same old same old and gave Scunny every chance to get back in the game, hitting the post and bar. Tactical ineptitude again. If we had stayed on the front foot we could have had six as they looked down and out at 3-1 down but we obviously decided to make a game of it.  |  | | |
