First off, congratulations to all the qualifiers, and commiserations to those who didn't quite make the cut. This will be the 12th season of the UCL, this time including former champion BFG (two-times winner, and second highest point scorer), burnsieespana, and of course current holder concordman. Making a welcome return after 5 seasons are MrHappy2 and Tropical_Us, and from 4 seasons ago gerry_us and RSCOSWORTH. Welcome also to blueeagle and Lewis_1, both returning after missing out in 2021, and TheFatGooner making his second consecutive appeance in the competiton. Special mention must also go to Pinault_noir in his inaugural season in the UCL.
Qualifiers
The qualifiers, in order of rank, are concordman, Lewis_1, wessex_exile, Pinault_noir, Tropical_Us, blueeagle, TheFatGooner, gerry_us, RSCOSWORTH, BFG, burnsieespana and MrHappy2

Basic stuff
As always, there will be no first-to-post tie-break deciders, only most spot-ons. However, remember you are only allowed one exact match prediction with each one of your group members for the Round of 16 Group stage (1st and 2nd legs combined), so first to post may be a factor in this regard.
If I spot too many exact matches I will do my best to give you advance warning, but please don't rely on me to do this - you must watch this one yourselves too.
3pts for a spot-on result, 1pt for the correct outcome (home win, draw or away win). All predictions are the result at the end of normal time, extra-time and/or penalties will not count. Top two from each Group go through.
Quarter-finals
The Group qualifiers will then form two mini-leagues of 4, and play off against each other predicting all of the Quarter-final matches. Mini-leagues will be comprised as follows: Winner A, Runner-Up B, Winner C, Runner-up D and Runner-up A, Winner B, Runner-up C, Winner D.
Semi-finals
The top two from each mini-league will then be drawn from a hat to play off in head-to-head matches, all predicting the semi-final matches. Should I be fortunate enough to be involved in the competition at this stage, a neutral third party will be found to do the draw.
Final
The finalists will play-off predicting the Champions League Final, this will include predicting different aspects of the game, not just the score.
…and finally, tie-breaks
If a tie-break is needed in the Round of 16 or Quarter-finals, there will be two options:
Default Option A: Predict the attendance at the very next U's game on the Saturday after conclusion of the round (e.g. next U's game after the Round of 16 is U's v Forest Green Rovers on Sat 19th March); or
Alternate Option B: In the hopefully unlikely event we should end up in another lockdown, predict the total number of goals scored in League 2 on that Saturday.
Only those involved in the tie-break will need to make a prediction, so this can be done any time before kick-off(s) on that Saturday. The closest to the right amount (above or below) will win the tie-break in their Group, so first to post will count here if necessary.
Tie-break rules for the Semi-final and Final will be announced in due course.

An eventful first week of the UCL now the dust has settled. The first 25% of the Round of 16 results are as follows:

Red Bull Salzburg 1 Bayern Munich 1
Following on from last nights results, Liverpool get two second half goals to take a significant advantage into the home second leg. Of more significance to some in the UCL, Bayern's 90th minute equaliser at Salzburg keeps their hopes alive too.
Group A
RSCOSWORTH takes a commanding lead at the top of Group A on 5pts, after the PSG result spot-on, plus the away wins for both Man City and Liverpool. concordman stays in contention with 3 outcomes from the four matches so far. burnsieespana isn't completely out of it with just the Man City outcome for 1pt, but needs to pick up some points soon.
Group B
With a no-show from Pinault_noir, Group B is a little more straightforward as things stand, though there's a long way to go. blueeagle with 3 outcomes out of 4 tops the group, but only narrowly ahead of Tropical_Us who picked up both outcomes last night.
Group C
Tight as a gnat's how's your father in Group C, with wessex_exile and gerry_us tied at the top with yesterdays outcomes. MrHappy2 is the only scorer tonight with the Liverpool outcome, but it was so close to being 4pts but for Bayern's last minute equaliser.
Group D
Honours even in Group D, with Lewis_1, TheFatGooner and BFG all collecting 2 outcomes from the four matches to leave everyone joint top and level on 2pts each.
