Another loanee from West Ham 17:10 - Nov 28 with 652 viewsLeadbelly

Blair Turgott has signed on a youth loan until Jan 4th. A winger who has represented England at U16 to U19 levels.

Poll: Safe standing at football; yes, know or don't know?

The turgott loan makes sense given injury crisis to our wingers. Winger; youth international pedigree; needing more adult match experience etc.

However; I am not so sure about the Ben Tozer loan other than we urgently need cover for Magnus and Tom Eastman. Ben Tozer has played in 16 of Northampton's 18 league games this season (having regularly played in past seasons too) and they are bottom of the football league. So is Boothroyd trying to make some money by having an ambition of permanently selling him to the U's after the loan period when the transfer window opens; or are they releasing him on loan because has he been deemed responsible for the Cobbler's recent defensive misfortunes?

Later Edit/Update.... U's website says "Ben will INITIALLY be here until January 4th". Sounds distinctly like we are going to spend the money?!

Interesting that the Cobblers have signed Izale McLeod too. Would have thought him better than relegation zone division two fodder.

Ben Tozer, the key words are cover and utility player.

Magnus is one booking away from a one match ban.

Give the guy a chance. Newcastle paid £250,000 for him.

Blair Turgott (Toogood!) could be a useful signing.

I'm waiting to see Bonne score the winner at Prenton Park.

Ben Tozer (Dover?) has a very long throw as well - it may be ugly, but if it works...
