 | Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added by TimSaint at 03:18:27 5 shots on target for Boro. 4 goals Their 4th shot was parried straight to their player to score their 4th goal with their 5th shot on target. It is obvious where our main issue lies. Then there are tactics, not taking our chances and bizarre substitutions. WTF is going on ? |
 | Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added by StRipper at 00:24:09 Chances to score. Like the blocked Flynn Downes one. So many static players, hiding in our half or in our box. No one really taking responsibility for anything. The collapse after the Boro offside goal was unbelievable. The current system has to go. We passed the point of “doing the same thing and expecting different results” state of madness a long time ago |
 | Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added by YosemiteSaint at 21:22:44 I don't like the manager merry-go-round either. But in this case, at this point in his career, Eckert is out of his depth. (Maybe the same could be said of Still, actually.) The experiments we've undertaken this year have failed, and we need to acknowledge that. |
 | Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added by Block8 at 21:19:15 I'm hoping that Tonda loses the Matinesque stubborn streak and looks beyond his desire to play what he thinks is best & puts the need for results first. He's been sussed. An actual move away from what is blatantly not working would be a great start! |
 | Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added by mascott514 at 20:12:28 Calls for Tonda to go are stupid. What club has ever done well swapping every five minutes. There are a few good players in our squad, and a few mediocre ones. We need time to sort through that mess. And this season is the one to do it. We are not going up- or at least I sincerely hope not with this squad, so we try to improve in January- get a few off the books (Aribo) and look for a keeper, and if available another front man - but buying more 8 million hit and hope players is as stupid as changing manager. We can see Tonda wants to play attractive fast paced attacking football. But he needs time to get his team and the platers he needs . Having said all that - I know what will happen is the opposite- everyone will moan and boo- and SR will shit the bed- and bin Tonda |
 | Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Sheffield Wednesday Your Report added by CateLeBonR at 18:49:42 Low quality fare but a strangely entertaining match as a result. Even that gut wrenching feeling that Sheff Weds were going to snatch a draw before Kolli put the match to bed. Which should have happened a lot sooner against a very poor side. I thought Jimmy Dunne was excellent and is quietly catching up with Burrell and Madsen in the POY contest for me. He was probably my player of the game but MOM has to go to Kolli. Saito was better than he has been recently but Poku doesn’t look quite right to me and it wasn’t a great surprise when he didn’t come out for the second half. Dembele is playing as if he’s got his right arm and leg bound together, I’ve no idea what’s going on with him. All the rest were about par for the course 5 or 6/10. |
 | Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added by SaintPaulVW at 18:17:09 Tonda needs to start make some serious changes or step aside. Teams have sussed how we play. Need to ditch the 5 at the back and stop making the like for like subs. Gotvyo get back on the front foot like we were when he was interim manager. Some serious bol1okings need to be handed out but I don't see who there is to do that. COYR |
 | Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added by Bowlercow at 18:05:52 Two different coaches same result and yet I keep hearing we have a strong squad Ditch the back 3/5 Ditch zonal marking Ditch Manning and several more players Ditch Tonda Ditch Sports Republicc |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Millwall Your Report added by StRipper at 11:27:50 Whilst Baxunu did do an amazing save, he only had to do it because he failed to collect or cut out the cross. Which is his major problem. Most other keepers in the league would have stepped forward to catch the cross. Meaning the save wasn't needed |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Millwall Your Report added by underweststand at 11:07:08 I see I wasn't the only one to rate Cameron Bragg. Calm and creative with his passing, he took his share of knocks and kicks but lasted out the 97 minutes. At 6.6... Cam was rated second only to Bazunu who helped us get the one point. Looks like Tonda has a good eye for the talents in the Academy, and even gave young FB Williams a place on the bench. |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Millwall Your Report added by SanMarco at 08:27:08 The Stephens throw-in where he eventually (interesting that a Millwall player taking that long would surely have been booked for time wasting) threw it and Millwall had the chance of the match 5 seconds later said it all for me. We looked like a poor man's Russell Martin team. The slow and ponderous nature of the passing around at the back was truly mind-numbing. We were lucky not to lose. Every team in the league now knows - keep it tight and hoof long balls whenever you win it (or it is handed) back and you are well in the game. The spark of that purple period of a few weeks ago seems to be totally dead. I echo the pleas of several others in asking for a back four (and no JS). I doubt we will be listened to... |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Millwall Your Report added by SaintPaulVW at 23:12:31 I thought the first half was sort of ok, second half was a waste of everyone's time. Still, there were only 2 goals in 4 matches in the prem, so an NYD borefest was not that unusual. Forgettable match that did nothing for either team. Agree, Jelert and Bragg looked good. Fellows, Azaz and Scienza underwhelmed. Back 4 tho please. COYR |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Millwall Your Report added by Bowlercow at 22:42:28 Not a pretty game Overall I thought we were marginally the better side On the down side we are not creating the chances to miss like we were earlier this season Their clear cut chance produced a world of a save from Baz and our clear cut chance was well blocked Four holiday games of which 3 are away Seems a bit unfair Did some have 3 home games? |
