Blackburn v Portsmouth- Blackburn obviously, puts Pompey further down the table.
Hull v Millwall - doesn’t really matter we won’t be catching either, hard enough making 4 points up on Wrexham let alone 7 or 9 on these two.
Bristol City v Coventry - Coventry win, the less teams in the hunt for the ply offs the better.
Derby v Sheffield Wednesday - hoping Sheffield fluke a draw or a win. Again the less teams in the hunt the better.
Ipswich v Leicester- Leicester win, puts Pompey in the shlt.
Sheffield utd v West Brom - West Brom win puts Pompey in the shlt . |

You can see why clubs have voted for it - if it was in place this season clubs as far down as Norwich in 17 th place will be thinking they’d have a chance of getting 8 th and fluke it into the premier league, getting thst big cash injection that people have already mentioned.
Next season for us there’s going to be even bigger pressure on whoever is in charge to make the playoffs. |

Im not quite sure how anything other than a boro win is good for Saints .
We need to keep the teams below us to keep losing and dropping points so it’s just us that’s fighting it with Wrexham for the final playoff place .
We are still 4 points off the playoffs talk of trying to overtake boro is just crazy in my opinion, getting 6th will be hard enough . |

Always thought that they would appeal and get the points penalty reduce to 3.
You are right though this should have been all sorted months ago, the fact that they are saying it won’t be sorted till May leaves all the teams near the bottom in limbo. |

Yes that’s correct in the championship the minimum you have to give away fans is 10% or 2000 which ever is smaller.
Several club give more though
Blackburn, Bristol City, Charlton, Derby, Leicester, Millwall, Preston, Sheffield Utd, Sheffield Wednesday , Stoke City and this season West Brom ( 2700) have stated to give more. And of course us as well.
Portsmouth normally just give away fans 2000 and many of the local were not happy they gave us 2700.
As you say in the case of Blackburn and Preston then they have been giving away fans a lot more .
We ply Preston as our last away game which could be a winner talks all for the playoff, in which case be expected just to get 2000. |

With out doubt Leicester is going to be our lowest away attendance for a few years.
But it’s not just because the Portsmouth game is out the way. The short notice hast helped but for some reason we never travel that well to Leicester even though it’s a relatively short trip .
The West Brom game is digital tickets only , if this goes well think most of our away games next season could be this. Hopefully then this will stop fans buying tickets then suddenly are unable to make it the very next day and advertising their tickets for sale. These are the fans that were just building up their away credits.
Having looked I’ve noticed that it looks like the club are just counting this seasons away games now. |

I can’t see us reaching the playoffs , we have just got 10 points from 4 games yet we are 14th and still 4 points off 6th.
We will have to out perform 8 teams to reach them, and I think it’s too much of a stretch for us.
Yes it’s possible but we’d have to go on an amazing run between now and May. |

This will be a tough game. Up until Watfords poor form they were firmly in the play off hunt and still only 3 points off 6 th place .
I can see this being another draw , similar to the game up there earlier in the season. The fact they’ve not won for 5 games is worrying! However we do have a good record against them.
Hopefully they’ll stay down as it’s an easy trip and with the league one promotion race looking very nothern the more local games we have next season the better. |

I dare say they will appeal and it will be reduced to 3 points and once again a team that is found guilty of breaking a financial rule will get away with out being relegated by the penalty. |

This is exactly what it looks like to me.
We needed to reduce our costs in preparation for at least another year in the championship.
We got a reported £13 - 15 million in to help balance the books plus a few high wages of the books. |

1)it’s very easy to drive to and easy to find . Can drive there in 3 hours . Getting out took about an hour but when you park a 10 min walk away with a crowed of 20000 what do you expect.
2)We are so lucky so have a ground in the city - I’d hate to have a ground like , stoke, Brighton Reading etc . It would ruin the whole enjoyment of going to football .
3)Yesterday was the quietest I’ve know stokes ground ( what ever it’s called now ) . It’s ironic that the season they extended the ground they got relegated and never been back to top flight football .
4)A sold Saints performance sbd it’s no coincidence in my opinion we look a lot better with a talkative keeper playing behind a sold back 4 . Say what you like about Stephen’s but he’s our 2nd best CB
5)This division is very poor and its total miss management from Dragan down that we aren’t in the play-offs at least . [Post edited 1 Feb 13:09]

I was 14 and This was my 1st Pompey v Saints Derby my dad drove over and parked down the eastern road somewhere.
Remember walking up with my Saints hat on then as we got nearer the ground my dad took it off me, it was then I noticed a group of lads all dressed up, I thought at 1st they were Saints fans but as they were dressed how some Saints fans dressed at the time. It was only when we walked past and they were saying how scummers chased pompey away at 1st I realised.
Went into the ground and it was packed and remember being on the fence at the back of the Milton end looking around . Saw a load of lads must have been a good 200 or 300 coming down the road that led from the station to the away turnstiles and thinking bloody hell thay are all Saints lads.
The game it’s self is a bit of a blur but them singing scummers here we come thinking they got a replay just as Steve Moran nipped in to score absolute mayhem !
Got kept in by what seemed ages then walked back to the car and witnessed a couple of lads get a kicking to this day I’ve no idea if they were us or them. |

Seems to be very over the top for a bubble.
I like to see what time Cardiff and Swansea fans have to leave for their bubble games . |

I agree , if you keep telling players they can’t play 3 games in 8 days they’ll believe it.
From what the idiot said before the Sheffield game he changed the team, not because has a tactical genius but he said he needed to change the team as we had a big game on Sunday.
I’m fully expecting us to play with the clubs favourite of 3 at the back. |
