Didn't Leyton Orient offer him more money to stay with them? I don't think many of us would consider him disloyal if the club tried that stunt. |

Don't forget his willingness to track back and make tackles (some very good ones too). He can also move over to the left wing if required. Oh and not all players have to have much of a resale value when approaching the end of their contracts . Although if he was re-signed on a 3 year deal and QPR wanted to sell him in 18 months time, I am confident that they could sell him to a promotion chasing League 1 club for £500k or more. They sold Dykes for £1m. |

Vale is not good enough on the right wing. He doesn't take players on and always looks to cut in on his left foot to shoot. He should play on the left instead (if good enough to displace Saito or Chair). As for Poku, it would be good to see him start at least one of the four festive fixtures. We have so far, only seen glimpses of what he can do. |

Probably a far more entertaining final than the dull 1-0 Germany v Argentina one. |

That's also how I recall it. Shame we didn't get Houghton too, because he was brilliant and helped Oxford beat us in the Milk Cup final a few seasons later. |

I don't think Walsh will be any better next season without going out on loan in January. As for Mahoney, going by what has been shown on the Football League highlights, I don't think he is having a particularly good season at Barnsley. I wouldn't be confident on him being a possible 1st choice keeper next season. When Dieng was on loan at Doncaster he was keeping clean sheets and getting very good reviews, I don't think Mahoney is performing at the same level. |

When he ends his loan at Enfield he should be loaned out to a National League side to get a better idea of his ability. I think he is at least another season away from being considered as a possible 1st team squad player. |

Before QPR signed Tilson, Peacock and Brevett, they were playing with Gus Ceasar as a CB and had lost at least 6 in a row (might have been more). Without those 3 players, QPR would almost certainly have been relegated that season. I think it was Bobby Gould who had spotted them because they were signed within a week or so of his arrival to assist Don Howe. |

RIP Chris Rea. As said already, he had a lot of health issues to deal with. A very down to Earth man and wrote and sang many great songs. Road to Hell, Fool if you think it's over, Let's Dance , Auberge, On the beach, Looking for the Summer, Driving home for Christmas,Tell me there's a Heaven, a very poignant song about violence. He will be missed. [Post edited 23 Dec 10:57]

You said he started with a7 point cushion and ended with a 6 point cushion, however you have seemingly forgotten that Reading had a 6 point deduction and would have finished above QPR on goal difference. So really he ended up with just a 1 point cushion over Cardiff who finished 21st. On Saturday I was disappointed with the anti MC chants and felt they were disrespectful towards him although the last Christmas song was quite amusing. It's time to move on. |

agree.it is on par with QPR not sticking with Warnock, and instead appointed JFH.QPR went downhill fast after that/ Nancy's appointment is a very strange one indeed and is quickly turning into a disaster. Still, I think it will be great for the SPL if Hearts and Hibernian etc win the top spots this season. St Mirren also beat Celtic for a trophy last week. |

no worries. I don't think Cifuentes was brilliant, but cannot underestimate his achievements with a poor squad. |

Really? Ainsworth had a 10 point lead over the bottom 3 when he took charge compared to Cifuentus taking over a side6points from safety. |

spot on. Celary was useless and Frey got injured. Having 2 good strikers helps and gives the team hope that they can turn a1 goal deficit into a win. |

i do recall that game was terrible and I seem to recall they had an outfield player in goal for much of the game. However, overall he had a decent record. |

Re your last paragraph. It was a minor footballing miracle that he not only kept QPR, but actually finished quite clear of the bottom 3 (especially the 1st season after taking over with QPR 6 points from safety). How short some fans' memories are. |

agreed. I know he spoilt the good feeling about him by speaking with WBA (via his agent), but it was obvious for weeks before, that things weren't right behind the scenes with Nourry. So I don't really blame him - and his actions cannot be compared with Beale. He blatantly lied to us all about his loyalty, Cifuentes was honest that he would stay only if he and the club were aligned in ambition and direction for the club. |

JS got his selection and formation wrong today. I expected more than 1 change of CB for this game along with a 3 man midfield and Poku in the starting line-up. He learnt nothing from the last 3 game week. This was not a game to play 442 given how Middlesbrough play. QPR made it far too easy for them and played a high line which they exploited time and time again. He should have made a tactical change in the 1st half and brought on Morgan or Hayden to shore up the midfield. At least a lot of the other results were favourable to QPR yesterday. Let's hope that he manages the festive schedule a lot better than these last two 3 game weeks. |
