He should have been dropped after Southampton. I am guessing that Nourry is responsible for this selection every game.

That is exactly what they have not been able to do. Even on the odd occasion that they do pass the ball and get to the area they have either failed to shoot or hit a tame shot at the keeper or it’s high and wide. It’s amateurish football and not good enough.

I think given the lack of quality in the team or on the bench a 1-1 draw is very optimistic.

I am going for a 3-0 defeat.

QPR are on a losing spiral with little or no attacking instincts. The loss at Birmingham along with the tepid performances at Southampton, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough suggest that QPR have lost impetus and ran out of ideas and confidence.

Stephan doesn’t know how to turn things around and seems to think swapping a few players around is the answer. There are staff at the club that are being paid well for producing nothing much in return. This includes Bould, Williams, Hoos and Nourry.

Well given how long Chair and Obikwu have been out without any idea when they will return I wouldn’t trust Williams and his staff to get me fit to play.

It isn't much better against Bristol City either.

The Poku debate
at 15:27 11 Mar 2026

The injury record of the 1st team squad under the guidance/management of Williams is indeed very questionable.

If we don't include the women's, development and youth squad's in the availability stats for the season I would estimate it at around 65 -70%. It seems that there is always 5 or more players unavailable

Currently Chair, Burrell, Madsen, Obikwu, Dembele and Larkeche are all injured. Poku is only now available. That is 7 players from the squad of 22.

Walsh, Hamer, Nardi,
Dunne, Mbengue, Edwards, Cook, Norrington-Davies, Adamson, Larkeche
Hayden, Varane, Morgan, Saito, Smyth, Vale, Poku, Madsen, Chair,
Kone, Kollii, Burrell, Obikwu

We can include Field and Morrison as part of the 1st team squad. I haven't included Esquerdinha as he is meant to be a Development Squad player who has played a few games as cover.

QPR's home record against Swansea is poor anyway, so maybe for the best that I don't attend this one.

The only recent home win against them that I can recall was under Eustace as caretaker manager after McClaren got sacked - and I didn't attend that game either.

WLS - Edwards might be moved into QPR’s midfield

I agree, that it wasn't a very good transfer window that left the squad short in certain areas of the pitch.

Most of us knew there was a big issue in goalkeeper, full back positions, central midfield and centre forward.

Nourry and Co. messed up in the summer and didn't address the issues in the winter window.

Sending Field out on loan just about summed up their failure. Madsen picking up an injury was always likely given how many games he was playing and the physical conditioning of the squad by a man whose expertise is in cycling competitions.

Shame on the club.

He ay not have been good, but as you said, he scored goals inside (and from around) the 6 yard box. He didn't have a bad goals/games ratio either. Those attributes imo are good for a striker and QPR could certainly use one of those in the squad apart from Kone and Burrell.

Yes, but I don't recall either of those clubs being punished for inflated sponsorship deals.

That doesn't surprise me at all.

The naming rights of Loftus Road is worth £1.2m over 3 years. I don't know how much other FL clubs get for their stadium naming rights , but £400k a year doesn't seem a lot to me.

He will be sent back at the end of the German season. What happens after that is anyone's guess, but mine is that QPR will look to get him off the books by offering him a free transfer in the hope that another club will take him.

He has been a disastrous signing and total waste of money.

Yes, I thought that too. It would have kept them up as well that season.

I hated Wolves for years after that loss and still can't forgive them for it.

My brother introduced Neil Sedaka's music to me in the early 80s.

Plenty of good songs to listen to , but this is one of my favourites .

I'm not sure if the link works or how to attach the video as others have, but it is Our Last Song Together.

Other ones I liked were Oh Carol, My World Keeps Getting Smaller Everyday

But he seems to have recently found his scoring boots which suggests he needed time and a run of games.

You can add Seny Dieng to a number of clubs including Doncaster.

I am confident that Walsh could have had a loan like Cooper to a L1 side , but Nourry wanted him in the 1st team.
