Have I missed something?

Interview sounds / feels bit like a - thanks and goodbye - maybe to most of the players

Worn the shirt with pride all season REALLY !!!!

Weirdly feel for him a bit, as clearly he's out of his depth and just regurgitating soundbites now

Think like most people right now on here - Genuinely and seriously worried re where were going

Sandy Lane season cards now sold out
at 21:01 26 Aug 2020

OK - Cheers for the clarity. I dont really have any issue btw with the Sandy as clearly that was my original choice. My point was / is - that if (quite a reasonable chance) we are in this covid related situation for the majority of the season, then theoretically someone paying Sandy prices will be able to sit in the best seats / best view position in the stadium, for no extra costs.

As above, i have no issue to be honest. Just a point that i would have quite liked to sit in the Reside stand as a change, but no biggy !!!

Sandy Lane season cards now sold out

Sorry if im being thick on this one !!!, but does this refer to "new" sandy tickets / cards or can any sandy lane card gain you access into the Reside stand. We bought cards on the 1st sale day and have received cards marked as Sandy Lane. Like other have mentioned I would take the opportunity to sit in the Reside stand (best view in the stadium) for the same cost as standing.

Fighting on the Sandy Lane pavement
at 12:01 14 Oct 2018

Yes take your point, vile set of fans from a vile club and totally their doing yesterday. However unfortunately any fines / measures will be against us as the host club, we would be slated for failing to follow ground safety rules. My point was that the issues yesterday was with 50-60 ? Dullards who chose to act in that way, to my simple view there was a reasonably easy solution early on which would have nipped it in the bud. Academic anyway really as don’t expect any response or follow up from anyone anyway, can you imagine if same had been same at a European game with a precious premier league team ! We would never hear last of it

The really frustrating thing is that this really isn't rocket science - the club knows broadly how many away fans will travel, 2 x blocks needed at most. Put these guys in the middle 2 x blocks, then they are further away from both home stands.

As soon as the 2nd smoke bomb was thrown, ok decision made, at full time you're all being kept in 15 mins to minimise the chance of the mixing at the end

Poor yesterday from the club, safety standards not met, fairly lucky it wasnt worse

Hill on the radio
at 08:24 22 Aug 2018

Hilly is the best manager we have ever had, great fit to the club and 99% of fans wouldn't want to see him leave ...... but seriously sick of this type of comments from him.

You work in Football man, guess what , you're going to get -

Critized by fans
Have people who dont agree with you
Have bad days / matches like last night
Have few idiots in your ear with moronic comments

2 choices - Grow a thicker skin or do one and leave

Not sure there's any football club where the above things arent going to happen

As above 99% of sensible fans wouldn't want you to leave and as a club we need to be very re-realistic about what could happen (the John Coleman days still have a lot of us waking up in a cold sweat !!)

Vast majority of Dale fans are loyal, long suffering and do support the players

So seriously man stop playing the martyr / woe is me card - Its wearing a bit thin

The Real State Of Play...
at 09:38 24 Dec 2017

Poor quality in the squad, no visible leadership on the field, no confidence, lack of fight and passion

Very reminiscent of the Coleman season for me

I dont think its an over re-action

I think we are in serious trouble and struggle to see how / where it will change

Hope Im wrong

Keith Hill
at 10:19 10 Sep 2017

Hard as yesterday was to sit and watch, it does in the cold light of day bring into focus that we as a football club have possible reached our maximum potential or peak with our current size or status

Keith Hill has done absolute wonders for the club as manager, but without significant change or investment at the club its very tough to see us ever bettering top ten L1 finishes.

Happily football isnt all about budgets or size of fan bases, there remains a little romance left where clubs like ourselves through sheer hard work and determination can still overachieve and punch above our weight.

Answer to OP - No i certainly dont think so, think of John Coleman days as a wake up call and to how quickly things can change!

Main Stand all ticket from Gillingham game onwards.
at 18:25 9 Sep 2017

Well they can have our 8 seats back after today, total shambles by the club - we had originally chosen 8 seats in a middle block of main stand. Contacted a week before first game to be told they had mistakenly double sold some of our tickets. Long story short we ended up in A block surrounded by non fans / corporate and today a lot of Rovers fans. Seriously not happy. major lack of organisation by the club - back to the Sandy for us.

We really do feel very shambolic on and off the pitch at the moment !!!

Latest Figures
at 20:42 30 Mar 2013

My thoughts (for what they are worth)

Gold bond - think over the years the GB has been seen as the cash cow, but what has been done to invigorate / upgrade / generate more interest in this. In current financial climate and with general ebb and flow of the existing customer base its hardly surprising that without re-investment of time / resource in this, that the figures are down.

Club shop - selection of stuff in shop has been rubbish for many years, massive missed opportunities to sell casual / lesuire type stuff (stuff you could wear in the pub without looking like a member of the coaching staff), most people very rarely go in now because the choice is so poor.

Promotions / general commercial stuff - Club seem really apathetic towards doing anything to promote anything, attitude from members of commercial dept towards ideas / fans suggestions is embarrassingly unprofessional.

I know it seems easy for us all sat here, and I'm sure its much harder with real time restrictions / budgets etc, but at the moment the clubs off the fields activities seem distinctly non league.

"Forums don't know how to run clubs" ( direct quote from a current club employee) - perhaps not, but we are a passionate about OUR club and probably couldn't do much worse than the current bunch.

At 3 -1 down one fan ran towards the dug out to give Coleman some stick , stewards got involved and dragged him out, think pretty much what we were all feeling tbh.

Completely agree with op, awful performance, clueless and gutless, completely outfought by an average Torquay side. Torn apart by rene Howe !!!! , very very very very poor performance today by pretty much all players ( tutte, putterill aside) , quite worried at moment , this could be Very long and hard season,

Goodbye Dale

Perhaps clubs that go into a financial blackhole and have to bailed out by fans of other clubs to survive, should be shut down.

Perhaps a view backed up by the people, creditors and others that your wonderful, perfect model club have cheated and let down financialy.... just a thought like.

Cant see hes offered much all season, regardless of where played, minimum required for me is at least some effort and commitment to the cause , this guy has shown none of that for me, wouldnt pay him in washers.
