Boring wins trophies sometimes.
‘90, ‘96, and maybe ‘98 were the only exciting England sides I can remember and they won nowt. Boring has delivered us two finals and two semis or whatever it is.
I’d happily forgo the piss and vinegar in exchange for a tournament win. Those trophy laden German sides were as langweilig as fck. I doubt their fans care much. [Post edited 7 Jun 20:48]

Nourry can’t take credit for the DS Cup win. Most of those players have been here for 3 or 4 years.
However, I really like the investment he’s putting into the DS squad and it’s exactly the direction I like to see from the DoF. He’s thinking long term first and foremost. I can really see this paying off in the next couple of years. |

I had the flat to myself tonight and ordered an extra large Pizza.
When the delivery man dropped it off I shouted ‘the pizza is here’ over my shoulder to no one so he didn’t think I was a greedy fck. |

Season ticket sales aren’t up either, just renewals at the same point last year (4%).
Not that we should ignore green shoots of optimism, but it’s silly to say getting the manager situation sorted isn’t urgent IMO. [Post edited 5 Jun 18:49]

Interesting interview.
I don’t know of any other 20 year old in the Championship with 9 starts getting on both the One Show and Sky Sports News.
Add this to all the chatter about moves to France and Saudi, it feels like someone is putting him out there.
I really think it’s important he starts for us next season, but all this makes me nervous. Wish he’d just get on with the football. [Post edited 5 Jun 17:13]

Pre season planning, transfers, MC’s potential pay off, and season ticket renewals are all affected by who we appoint and when.
