Stephen Humphrys’s Contract
at 12:46 9 Sep 2020

Following the Government’s lead why doesn’t Stephen just unilaterally change his contract with Southend in a ‘very specified and limited’ way. Where it specifies ‘Southend United FC’ just replace that with ‘Rochdale AFC’. The changes are limited to one. Hey fooking presto and welcome back to the Crown Oil lad.
I know Southend will probably get all unreasonable about this, but, let’s face it, this enables everyone to get what they want...well, apart from Southend.
They’ll also probably say that it’s breaking the law as well, but if you don’t like the law then that law doesn’t apply anyway, I think.

What a wonderfully magnanimous chap. BBC showed some of the clips from the show on the news and I was surprised at how cruel and unnecessarily nasty the ridicule was, it was nothing short of bullying. The poor kid was 18. Hancock, to his credit, apologised and looked genuinely humbled and remorseful.

Last seen a couple of weeks ago in a suit majestically riding a massive white horse in a snowy field, as you do. Fortunately captured by state media, who happened to be passing.
Not seen since.

Have we ever?

I like this, it could be a regular slot.
...anyway my question is, and it’s a genuine one, other than Calvin have we ever had a centre forward who has not scored for over a year, and played of course (not long term injury etc.)?
I can’t think of one.

To the tune of Everyday is Like Sunday by some right wing prick.

Trudging slowly to an empty ground.
Back to the ranch where all that money was stolen.
This is a club for clowns.
They’re about to shut down.

Armageddon, come Armageddon.
Come Armageddon, come.

Every day at Gigg is like a Sunday.
That’s because they loved Stewart Day.

Just been on telly promising to get a new deal, unite the country, deliver Brexit, end austerity, give the NHS an extra zillion a week, build aparthotels and have us in a new country in five years time.

Still, if enough idiots believe it then why not?

Jack Wilshere diluted.
at 07:43 20 Jun 2018

After 17, a lot of which were very injury plagued, years at Arsenal, Jack Wilshere, who had been offered a new deal by Arsenal, went to see the new Arsenal manager and asked him if he was going to play him. New manager quite rightly said I can’t guarantee that, and why should he. Surely it’s up to Jack to impress the new manager and earn the right to play. Jack has been injured for much of his time at Arsenal and was injured for a lot of his time at Bournemouth and he has never really lived up to his early promise on anything like a consistent basis. Why an earth should he expect any manager to say yes Jack you’re my first name on the team sheet every week?

Apparently, West Ham and Everton, prior to changing their manager, were interested in signing him. He is just the sort of player neither of these clubs need (although Andy Carroll will at least have some company in the stands if he signs for the Hammers). I would have expected Sunderland to have jumped at the chance but they’re playing us next season in league 1 precisely because they’ve jumped at the chance of signing this sort of player in the past for huge wages. Sunderland are currently paying another Jack, Rodwell, a reported 60k a week for doing jack.

Be very careful potential suitors and well done new Arsenal manager.
