Agreed I wasn't sure at the game because it happened so quick even though we were not that far away from the incident.
The highlights reel that was posted on page 2 if you slow the speed down to 0.5 and watch he gets the ball and his studs don't make contact with the player, there was no intent, the Preston player clashed legs with Cirkin and screamed which made it seem horrendous.
Stand to be corrected obviously but it's a harsh red card which I can understand was given by the referee seeing the incident in real time and having all the Preston players surround him. |

If they continue to keep getting results then you need to blame that Mowbray bloke, he knows the division inside out and invariably seems to get his teams playing better than the sum of the parts, an underrated coach by some. |

Really pleased you posted this FB i had already signed the petition before I saw it on here, at 09:27 yesterday it had 451k signatures, now it's gone up to 679k and counting.
The fabric of our society is deteriorating all the time, we all understand that the issue is prison overcrowding in this instance but surely common sense says we have to protect the emergency services which we all rely on. |

Exactly it just shows up CNs total inexperience at dealing with difficult situations and that he's not interested in constructive criticism, it's my way and that's it, so much responsibility for a young man in his first Senior job.
There's no question he's brought some much needed fresh energy to the job but he would still benefit massively from an experienced Director of Football it just appears that wouldn't work because he wants to make all the final decisions and have complete control.
The good news this Summer is he's been reading LFW  the transfers have focused on all the areas that have been identified on here as a priority  |

Yeah Portsmouth News said it was a knee injury last December which made him miss two months of the season, so probably not major, we took Harvey Vale on when he had an injury and that so far seems a bit of a success, we just need the medical team to do a decent assessment, fingers crossed. |

Where's that from let me guess social media maybe, lots of people with agendas out there, Sam always came across as a dedicated club man but when agents get involved they tend to push their client so who knows.
Sam signed a new contract about a year ago so he was planning on staying, something happened to make him think he wasn't wanted by the management, if that was the case you would explore your options. |

Losing Sam's experience in midfield is a big mistake, he's a better player than Varane but you can only sell players that are wanted by other clubs. Norwich saw the value in Sam when they were flirting with relegation last year, they got him on loan and they climbed the table finishing ninth. He ended up on the bench for some games at the end of the season but was still used as a valuable member of the squad and part of the selection process.
So Sam gets to see what a lovely part of the country it is living in Norfolk and having been shown that he will be used as a valuable member of the squad thinks I'm actually wanted here which is a big motivation in making a decision.
Let's not forget we shipped 70 goals last season, the second highest in the division and that's not all down to the back four, they were not protected as they should have been from midfield and we are letting our best defensive midfielder leave.
We all know Sam has his limitations when it comes to attacking play but he's a defensive midfield man who does a similar role to the one Shaun Derry did for us, he should be paired alongside a creative player, he had some great games for us which definitely kept us in the league.
So we move on and need to find an experienced, strong midfield player to replace him, the one who has every single attribute and doesn't cost much, it's going to be interesting but if we find a midfield Burrell equivalent ie in cost then who knows, I guess if you dont gamble you don't win..... Exactly the news broke today as if it has just been announced but as you say this was last year and he's been working since then.
The BBC saying it was prostate cancer but in the series for some reason he didn't want to divulge what type, strange the more people are made aware of prostate cancer the better, I was diagnosed in 2023 and had treatment in 2024.
Must admit I wasn't a fan of Clarkson before Clarkson Farm but he's changed my opinion completely and as previous people have said he's done a great job for raising awareness for farmers and their struggles, he genuinely cares for the farming community. [Post edited 17 Jun 15:29]

Will be gutted if he goes but from what we can glean the Finances are not rosy and Kone is possibly our most marketable player, CN's transfer dealings may have left him with few options.
Appreciate that we have to sell players to balance the books, guess I was hoping for one more season before he was sold.

Yup the final and third loyalty window shuts on the 30th of this month, so another 21 days to go yet, will be renewing at the end of the month, decision gets more difficult each year as I miss some games but still absolutely love the match day experience and our old stadium. |

So quickly reading that is the important bit for us the allowable equity injection, which means the owners (Ruben) can input his own money of £33 million over 3 years and it counts towards the calculation.
IF that's the case it seems an improvement for the man who is funding us at £20 million per season already, but it begs the question will that £33 million be enough to keep us within the guidelines. |

Without doubt the midfield needs new blood, Hayden is definitely off and I'm hoping we offload Varane back to France for whatever sum we can get, let's not be silly about the transfer fee and accept a sensible amount.
From my point of view there's a good argument to keep Sam Field, we all know he's a better player than he showed at the start of last year, he's a defensive midfield player. Somebody who sits in front of the back four, breaks up play and protects the back four, if I'm correct we've achieved the second highest goals against total this season, we have to focus on that and make it massively better next season.
So we keep Madesn, Morgan and Field and bring in two new younger players with potential who are attack minded, comfortable with the ball at their feet, look to drive and pass forward, getting rid of too much experience all in one go could well be a massive mistake. |
