I disagree with you re The Boleyn. I was in there many times following the R's and twice as a neutral and I never liked the place. Though the West Sides bar being open after the games (back in the 70's anyway), was handy.
Pulled out of Wembley Central, next stop Queens Park, then on to Ipswich. On the way back, Vic asked / made us clean up the train before we got off, a couple of weeks later they published a letter from the train driver in the match programme, thanking us for the cleanest football special he'd ever been on.
I wouldn't recommend the Dorsett Hotel on Shepherds Bush Green - four star hotel, you're 'aving a laugh. Only thing good about it is the easy walk to the ground and the pubs.
