The point being Danny Rohl completely changed the team when they were a goal down against Celtic at half time, and went on to win it 3-1. That is a manager with experience who is tactically astute. |

Maybe, play THB and Wood in a 4, and put Slack Jack up with Armstrong, then we could ping some long balls up that Jack could nod down to his fellow striker.
Jack is big and clumsy enough to mix it up with the oppos defenders. |

It was such a relief when Will Still left and we started playing fast, fearless and forward football. It seemed we had our club back and it looked like suddenly anything was possible in this league, so for us to witness such mind numbing, boring, predicable football ever since, seems like the biggest act of betrayal, and various theories as to why have been aired.
We know these players can turn it on and can beat anyone, they've proved it, so what the he'll has happened? Whose pulling the strings?
They need to go back and analyse why they were winning a few weeks ago and get their sh*t together. |

I think most agree we need a big clear out, and a few really good signings.
I think Harwood Bellis and Jack Stephens probably have a lot of influence on the team and very often call the shots, maybe Tonda is finding that the rug being pulled from under him, because backward/ sideways is the default playing style.
Some team members have too much influence, like the disruptive Charlie Austin who almost became defacto team manager. Get the rotten apples out.
We need to get back to the fast attacking football template that Tonda first initiated pronto. |

I grew up in Bournemouth and watched the cherries as a kid, but started going to the Dell when Ted McDougal and Phil Boyer moved to Saints, and never looked back. As Pat says, lots of Saints fans in Bournemouth and Poole as Southampton has always traditionally been 'The club of the South'. Lots in Dorset down to East Devon are Saints too.
For a lot of them, and myself, Bournemouth is their second team. |

Coventry are top for a reason, they parked the bus and defended well, stopping all our attempts. Their keeper was big and powerful in his box and dealt with most of our corners, a total contrast to Banuzu.
We seemed to lack that bit of creativity in front of their goal, but you've got to give it to them they defended well.
Couldn't believe we started so slowly with the russball. |

Agree with that, but we always look vulnerable when we go into defensive mode.
If we could keep the offensive side of our game going longer we might have less scares like last night.
Anyway, he'll look at that part of our game for sure....he's doing a brilliant job. |
