Fabulous report.
Surprised there is no mention of the significant shift in mentality of this group that must have been instilled ostensibly by JS.
There is an ambition and belief in this group, the likes of which we haven’t seen for years and despite not having achieved the points haul we should have so far, the underlying numbers, attitude and performances indicate there is much more to come from this group.
Exciting times ahead. |

He was on for 10 minutes and unlucky not to score at least one.
He’s a handful and I have no doubt he has a part to play for us this season. He has certainly proved more useful than Kone so far this season.
His goal will come. He makes things happen and gets involved. Keep going young man. |

It was always going to take him a good few games to get up to speed.
When fully fit and on form, he will be a great player for us.
Keeping him injury free is the key. Needs to share his role with Dembele. Rotation time. |

Hear what you’re saying Gazza, but the underlying point here is that we have a manager who is building the fundamental mentality of a team that will fight tooth and nail in every game regardless of any individual mistake or poor decision.
What we are seeing and hearing from him are the personal qualities that allowed him to achieve what he did during his time in France.
He is into his second season with us and there has been a huge shift in the mentality/culture of the entire club and players.
I think the lack of quality strikers will be our undoing this season, but this manager is the real deal and we must stick with him and back him to the hilt.
That response to yesterdays game was honest, accurate and fills me with hope. |

Not forgetting we were missing Chair, Lampty and errr Kone. Boy Kemper to come back also.
We still haven’t had our “best” 11 out on the pitch together yet.
The Wet Spam game will be interesting to say the least. |

You don’t see Chair lacking in application or effort and he has similarly been subject to some awful management and team set ups over the years. |

There’s no sugarcoating it, Kolli is the proverbial bad apple with a bad attitude.
I’d give him 2 months to turn it around or he gets bombed out.
The new standards and expectations have been set. Everyone appears on board, except him.

The message was clear and obvious ref Kolli.
Show the same attitude and commitment that the likes of Adamson and Lloyd show and you still have the possibility of getting in the first team.
Time to earn your place Kolli and quit the sulking. Grow the food up. |

Great report and spot on.
Do have a slight concern with the form of both a vale and Madsen. Both well off it at the moment.
Really need both of them to start clicking sooner rather than later.
JS was accurate in his description of Edwards…a “monster” out there yesterday. A snip at 4.5 million. |

It’s got to the point where achieving a play off place has become entirely dependant upon player availability and that will be true for most teams in the division barring the obvious ones with the deepest pockets and squads.
We are yet to see and now very unlikely to see our best 11 out on pitch together. A crying shame because it clearly promised so much (although I don’t and never have considered Kone a “key” player…works hard and has a good attitude, but he looks absolutely miles off what we need). |

We’ve played six games for gods sake, after weeks of pre-season preparation.
Professional athletes should be able to manage that unless there is something fundamentally wrong with them. |

Defence and midfield look sorted.
We look well short of quality in the forward positions and our wingers are made out of marshmallow.
If Chair and Lampty are our out for a while, our creativity will suffer and a lack of goals will result in a slide down the league. |

All our real creativity comes from Chair, Lampty and Poku, two of whom now appear injured.
Kamara and Madsen quality in the middle, be we lacked urgency in that second half. It was like watching a training session. |

Why would he be selected if he was carrying an injury?
That comment contradicts the entire strategy of supposedly rotating players to avoid injury.
He is slow and cannot control the ball. He had a few reasonable games last season, but it is now like playing with ten men when he is selected.
His confidence is completely shot and IMO is part of the reason he went off, yet again shaking his head. He needs time out of the side to find his fitness, form and confidence. |

We have had no out ball up front. Everything we had with Burrell and Lloyd on Wednesday, has been lost by putting Kone up front.
Need Lampty, Kamara and Madsen on to get us out of jail. |
