I knew Alan personally, and went to many away matches with him, Keith and Jim. We both lived on the " Avenues" in Queen's Park. Lovely man, and I am proud to call him my friend. My sincerest condolences to all his family and friends.RIP Alan.
We just lack two or three real top Championship players. Without them, we always be just good enough...but no better. Injuries are pissing me off more than the result today. We could really have given them something to think about with Burrell and Chair.
Thought we would get bum gobbed after seeing that line up...but we have given a decent account of ourselves. Pleased for the great support who went. The depressing thing is, that this West Ham team are one of the worst Prem teams in recent years...but they were still too good for us. Take Bowden and Summervilleout of that team...and I think we could have done it today. Hopefully a good learning experience for our players.
Yeah. Loved Upton Park...proper old ground. Think the majority of their older supporters would agree with us. Know one who won't set foot in that monstrosity they play in now.
He hasn't really looked like he is ready for the Championship yet...so this was always going to be step too far for him. And quite a few of the rest of them. A fully fit squad we may have asked some questions of them, but not this line up. Williams first to go in the summer for me.
They are a very poor Prem team,..and we are the definition of a very mediocre Championship team. Injuries again ending our season early. Gap is too huge in football now...not worth getting involved anymore for me personally.
