Baggie ball bags - Match Thread

We're so, so far from the exciting team we've been seeing at home the past few months.

How Paul Smyth doesn't get on the pitch tonight I have no idea, these away games are made for him.

Left Burrell on for 90min v Leicester when the game was won but not bringing him on here. Doubtless won't see him at West Ham either.

Saito you idiot. Sick of him away from home.

Perhaps the plan was to make it a 45min game, bring on RND, Burrell & Smyth.

Saito ineffectual away from home as usual (never a free kick for our goal) and Esquerdinha an accident waiting to happen sadly, as well as surprisingly slow when he had to bust a gut to get back.

There for the taking.

Players repeating this 'good week' mantra.

Can't help but think that plays on their mind at least a bit if they've already got 6/6 from first two games...

Insanity not to make any changes at HT. And one of the players who'd have been hooked gives away a pen with a nonsense tackle straight away...

Asked Grok to analyse the content of QPR's tweet about the second goal.

Fan replies express intense frustration over QPR's defensive lapses, particularly blaming forward Paul Smyth's erratic decision-making on a failed attack that sparked the counter-attack goal, alongside criticism of right-back Reggie Newton-Dunbar's positioning.

Get Newton-Dunbar off at HT

Midfield two away at a good side not looking like the cleverest move thus far.

A few around me headed off when the equaliser went in.

I've left the ground early many, many times in recent seasons but after that performance I was going to stay to applaud the players off whatever happened - and to check we didn't go on to lose it...

Would've been sick as a parrot hearing that roar on the way out. Anyone here want to fess up to leaving before Morgan's goal?

Scenes at the end were special, best moment at LR since the Dunne winner v Birmingham.

Moments like that are absolutely huge for building the sense that we can do something this year. I was so pleased when it looked like we were finding a different way to win - grinding out a 1-0 and defending from the front as a team.

But to do it like that was unreal.

EDIT: just seen the whole thread re: leaving early

Kone and Burrell on today's win

Bless Rumarn, he's not much of a talker is he?

It's been said before but what a difference having two lively strikers makes.

We were clinical yesterday - open goal aside...

I reckon there's one spot in the top six up for grabs.

Stoke & Preston will fall away, Saints will make it in, Millwall actually get playoffs for once.

Leaving one spot for the likes of Birmingham/Bristol City even Sheffield United...and perhaps even us to aim for.

This squad should certainly be good enough to hang on to our current place of 10th. Add a GK and Edwards into the mix in January and we should be setting our sights on 6th.

Let's be honest the first half was jaw-droppingly poor from both teams.

Can only beat what's put in front of you, however. Two home wins in a row and six goals certainly not to be sniffed at with our recent home record.

Birmingham will be a much stiffer test.

Yeah but we've got half of one stand behind the goal. A few blocks in the upper tier behind the goal, then bits at either side of the Ellerslie potentially. Find me another club where that's the set-up if you can!

It's cause of the family stand isn't it?

We are a funny club - most teams would have one 'kop' area, we're sprinkling it around all over the ground.
