Ah man, lilac monstrosity incoming

Couldn't pick a player to look more ill suited to the strip than Kone, fair play.

Going to miss this because of kids Halloween party, but on the plus side the combination of ghosts, ghouls, saints and sinners (spygate) should provide Clive's headline generator plenty of material

During my PhD I spent hours listening to mixmaster Morris dj sets from Brick Lane on mixcloud, I had no idea for ages that he was Irresistible Force. I'd heard this remix and a few others, but then did a deep dive on his own productions under that monicker, and some amazing sets from The Fridge era. Quite the underground hero.

Who Brian? Yeah but he's a good poster. But yeah, stick to CTN McCarthy, who do you think you are?

Winning fouls is like his superpower. I often said in the past that you could tell what sort of game he was going to have after his first claim for a foul. If the ref doesn't buy it he's in for a long afternoon. I did wonder on Saturday whether the ref would be influenced by his recent run of penalties and not give it on that basis.

Slightly tangentially I was amazed on Saturday, and then remembered how it was the same all last season, by how resolute the ref was in not awarding any foul on Kone, it was absurd at times.

Such sad news, but thank you for passing it on to everyone on here who loved Ted even if only through his many years of service to LFW. Hope his family and loved ones are doing ok.

This series has passed me by, but I keep hearing how good the latest (last?) season was. Worth getting on from the start then?

And saying lots of nice things

Unlike Second Tier / Ryan Dilks et al these chaps actually know what they're talking about, and even take the time to watch the games they report on

Not necessarily reading anything conspiratorial into the meaning behind it or Dunne's reaction - but I did just think "fùcking hell that looks annoying for Jimmy"

Don't know if this is petty or not, probably is. But I think I'm right in saying that Nourry's diktat specified 433, possession based football?

I assume that is no longer in effect?

After, I think it's something like 200 years without a penalty, Smyth wins three in four games. People talk about end product but I'd say that counts?

Love him to bits, really joyous seeing him performing like this. I said on the match thread seeing him up front with Kone was giving me Les and Bradley Allen vibes.

Fair play to JS seeing the opportunity to play him there, will be interesting to see if this becomes a regular feature, and whether he's now competing with Burrell for the same role

Injuries
at 17:59 25 Oct 2026

Yeah with Saito and Dembele back, Chair supposedly back in contention, and evidently Kone out the other side of whatever ailed him (!) the injury list suddenly looks less dramatic. But, that only holds if we don't keep racking up new injuries...
