That tells you something about the managers we've had this season.
None of them had any idea of what was required to play in the Premier Lge.
Charlie Taylor is a proven player at that level unlike most of our squad.
What surprised me yesterday was that Charlie Taylor managed to play 90mins without getting cramp & that's after having not played for 6months or more.
That's the sign of a good pro, he's obviously worked hard on keeping his fitness.
He should be a shoe in for next season. |

If the family have that much money then why would they be stupid enough to waste any of it on our club.
It's one thing being a supporter it's another thing being an owner of a football club.
Rishi's wife is far to shrewd to get involved. |

Taylor back from the wilderness.
Really freshened up the line up, case of having to with players unfit & some moving on.
But I actually like the look of this side today but it will be a challenge against these Gunners. |

Point taken.
But in his favour Lallana has played at the highest level, he's had numerous caps for England & he's played under some good Coaches.
I know that does not suggest he'll make a good Manager / Coach, but he would be no bigger risk than taking the Still family on.
In fact it's less risk because he'd cost us nothing.
SR are renowned for trying to be ultra clever and take on Coaches & players who have potential & look where it has got us.
I know other clubs have found young Coaches that have proved to be good, if we take Still then we've just got to hope that it works. |

I agree with you Grumps.
Whoever comes in as Coach deserves initial respect & support, which he will get.
But considering SR's track record of appointments of Coaches & purchase of players, it's not surprising that we are concerned about this appointment. |

We've always been a family oriented club so this keeps up the tradition.
BUT, come on, this appointment gets crazier by the minute.
W'ed be better off giving the job to Adam Lallana, his credentials are better than all the Still's put together & he'd cost us nothing. |

I'm finding the choice of Will Still even more interesting now that it's apparent that he intends to bring his two brothers to our club as his backroom staff.
I just hope that SR get this appointment right, it could be seriously damaging to our already in turmoil club.
Is he really joining us for the right reasons or is it just a convenient way of getting back to the UK lifestyle.

If rumours are correct then Leicester are keen on getting Russell Martin in as Coach.
As much as I personally don't rate him he'll probably be a good fit for Leicester in Championship.

Don't panic.
Of course he'll know what to do if we get back into the Premier Lge.
He'll switch on his Lap Top,
Google "How to manage in Premier Lge".
Show the video to his players & say that's what we have to do.
ThIs guy is a poor man's Nathan Jones, at least NJ had some experience of Managing a British Club.
I really hope WS doesn't get the job.
I'm already losing the " WILL" to live. |

I watched his short video & must admit that I was bored half way thru it.
But in true SR fashion he's likely to be our next manager / Coach so we'd better get used to it.
But as the saying goes.

Having listened to his interview, I know you shouldn't judge someone on first appearance but he came across to me as everything that is wrong with football at the moment.
He talks about it as if its a science, NO it isn't.
You cannot play real football & work out tactics or systems on a computer.
The reality is that in a real life football match there are so many variables that affect the game.
Players can't always be were they're supposed to be, the ball doesn't always go where its supposed to go, the weather can affect a game.
But most importantly it's likely that some players are just not able to play to the style / system that the computer generates.
That's been the problem with us this season., the players are just not good enough either physically or mentally to play to the system dictated by the various coaches.
You cannot blame the players for not being good enough, the blame lies with the coach trying to achieve the impossible.
But we can blame our players for not putting in enough effort or not showing enough commitment. |

Appreciate what you're saying but KWP is out of contract at end of season so he's a free agent & has absolute no transfer value.
So why protect him. |
