EFL postpone football over the weekend
at 15:34 9 Sep 2022

One man who will be (very privately, very secretly) happy with this decision will surely be Jim Bentley? A great opportunity now to have a slightly more extended period of time with the players without a game/ rest period in the middle of it.

Nah…don’t do that! Stick with it!

Our club is in need of the money. Stay patient with it!

The whole world is short staffed - thru covid, working from home, isolation pings, social distancing etc.

We all just need to be a little more patient and a little kinder to the ones who turn up :)

Head to the game a little early speak to them in person. I’m sure they’ll be able to resolve your query.

The club needs everyone to pull together.

Up the dale :)

Match Thread: Dale vs Forest Green
at 22:35 17 Aug 2021

First time for me seeing Dale tonight, since last year - I must admit whilst the defeat is tough to take, there is evidence of a half decent side in our midst!

We controlled large parts of the game and created a fair few chances. I recall us hitting the post twice? A bit of luck, the odd bounce here of there and it could have been completely different! Yes, their two goals came from mistakes but outside of those I didn’t see us defending too badly.

With all the noise in the club at the minute, and a squad assembled weeks ago - I think the lads did well tonight! Our first win isn’t too far away.

Odoh the star, Beesley missed and Newby was good. Centre halves need a touch more game time (and learning) and we’re desperate for a commanding keeper at the back! Lynch is neither big enough, strong enough or loud enough.

All in all, a lot of positives from tonight. If Forest Green are gonna be up the top this year, then I think we’ll be absolutely fine.

Up the Dale!

EFL statement about Rochdale AFC
at 17:08 12 Jul 2021

Been watching recent events from a distance, and have been kept in the loop. I don’t know what to make of this statement:

- should we be happy the EFL are seemingly coming out fighting?

Or

- should we be absolutely petrified it has got to this stage?

I’m unsure, but all I know is that for the EFL to get involved, it’s pretty big on their radar. They don’t put a statement out for nothing! Something of which our potential investors should be vary of!

Sad news coming out of the club that our Director Paul Hazlehurst passed away yesterday after a recent illness.

Thoughts and prayers with his wife, and three sons at this time.

Rest in Peace, Paul x

Seemed a bit more composed today:

- looking at financial fair play there’s a lot more spending in league 1 he’s ever seen
- goal is always to avoid relegation

- he’ll never stand in the way of players moving on discussed Lund, Laing and Allen
- mentions of Rochdale is a good place for young players

- likes checkatrade trophy and u23 sides in it
- respects it and has told adshed it’s his trophy. As long as we’re in it, he’ll play

- respects Slough and thinks it’ll be a tough game

- said on Saturday he was emotional due to loss of friend
- mentions the fans have been magnificent and they’re the lifeblood of club
- doesn’t like the stick managers get - referenced Martin oNeill.

- all in all, cane across very well but still I think he’s missing something with ‘abuse’ from Saturday

Now now Basil.

Don't be trolling to get a reaction on here.

We know who you are, and that you're a Bury fan...just ask Steiny!

See you for a pint when we play you!

Anyone encounter the Feyenoord fans tonight?
at 22:44 22 Nov 2016

Spoke to them quite frequently during the game. They all arrived today and have been enjoying Manchester''s bars. Wanted to watch some football so got the tram to Dale.

Good set of lads who talked about their passion for the game. They're excited as Feyenoordbare top of their league having not won it for 17 or so years.

They were pleasant! They did say English beer is $**t though!

I rarely comment on this board, but I feel I have to on this.

This is a premeditated assault, basically. If anyone of us did this in our workplace, or for that matter in Rochdale after 10 pints we'd be up before the courts for assault/GBH.

Not good from him! The ban is desereved.

Detriments our season massively. Ill jusdged and selfish action.

Keith's insomnia and thoughts on Gillingham
at 23:15 17 Apr 2015

I've only seen the sorted interview but I take a lot of heart from it.

The biggest thing for me, is that Keith has clearly been hurting after Tuesday. He's clearly disappointed not to be in the playoff hunt, although I believe we still are.

I think a lot has been said about hill, and tactics, ambitions etc etx recently, but this interview is a bit of a reminder. This man is Rochdale FC through and through. There's no denying it. He loves the club and loves being here!

We should throw whatever we can at him, sign him up long term'! I believe in him, and I back him to take our club forwards over the next decade!

Avoid it, avoid it, avoid it! At all costs!

There's no need. What you have is a lot of adware, and this usually comes from either torrent sites, or third party video streaming sites.

They leave small files (similar to cookies) on your Mac, which cause the pop ups.

There's a great article to get rid of it all.

http://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT203987

If you to to your top menu bar (on finder)
Go>go to folder > then type in the folder addresses specified in the article.

Also, go to safari > preferences > extensions
And get rid of any you don't use/recognise!

Hope this helps

It's two years ago, today, that the club lost arguably the biggest hero in our clubs history.

I said it at the time of his death - the club surely must do something to honour his memory? I'd love to see a stand named after him, but appreciate the loss of sponsorship revenue etx. Surely though, something?

Anyway, Rest In Peace Reg.

I currently live with Bill's grandson, and yesterday came as a shock. Bill died peacefully and pain free at home.

Although his family are not Rochdale fans, I'll make sure to pass on all sentiments here on this board.
