The recent Rest is History podcast series on the Iranian revolution and the hostage crisis is well worth listening to. It’s also slightly mad how it all unfolded.
Even madder was Trumps press conference yesterday during which he started rambling on about the colour of the curtains and how all the building work at the White House was upsetting his wife. It’s all insane.
The Green leader sensibly says it’s time we had an adult discussion about drug policies as clearly the ones based solely on criminalising users is not working. Starmers very grown up response was the Greens want to allow crack dealers to operate outside schools which says it all. We need to look at how very strong cannabis is impacting on mental health, use of ketamine and legal highs such as spice which having seen how users sometime react is crazy. People putting stuff up their nose for a night out or even at the football is also a huge social change. Tests have shown that it contains 1 or 2 per cent of cocaine the rest being all sorts of stuff far more damaging than the coke itself.
Like Liz Truss and her budget. The one which the Daily Mail heralded with the headline ‘At last a True Blue Budget’ The one that real business people warned would crash the economy and would wipe out your pension. The one that meant she lasted 45 days and cost the Uk economy £50 billion.
You clearly haven’t read or looked at the policies or listened to the winning candidate or the leader of the Greens. I don’t support all what they say like leaving NATO but find some of their views interesting.
All of those things are factually incorrect. The Green Party is not Communist. It supports small business but is against the big corporate non tax paying multi nationals. They want controlled immigration that treats people humanely. They want to rejoin the EU. On drugs they want to treat the problem as a health issue rather than a criminal one saying prohibition doesn’t and hasn’t worked.
If Starmer is still leading the Labour Party then they will be wiped out like the Tories were at the last election. Our system needs reforming though. It’s crazy any party can win a majority with 30 per cent of the vote.
Re last night I see Farage is blaming a coalition of woke progressives and Islamists. Like Islamists are going to vote for a party led by a gay Jewish man. Great result for the Greens who are becoming the party for the left. Reform on the right and the two main parties looking like becoming increasingly irrelevant. The country is hopelessly divided.
I don’t know how much input Tonda has had with the changes but bringing Bree back, getting in a better keeper and bringing Larin in have been excellent business and getting rid of Bazunu and Armstrong now looks like we have so many more options. I rate Tonda and if we had started the season with him instead of Still we would be looking at the top two or three.
I have never resorted to personal insults and if in some way I have upset you then it wasn’t intentional. You seem to have a problem with me though hence the name calling.
