Really sad to hear RIP Ted When I do pop on here to run through the topics I always flicked through to find what Ted's thoughts on the subject were he was always insightful always amusing always tongue in cheek..most times ! Never got to meet Ted but had a few conversations with him here about our love of guitars and his deep affection for his beloved "Nocaster" that he reluctantly let go... Speaking with him he certainly knew his way around a guitar so im guessing he played to a decent standard. Will be sorely missed on this board god bless him ! Condolences to all he was a "Good Un"
Do the board just look at the fans forums to see who we all want ??? Hadyn...Saito...Edwards...Certainly not the managers choices right ? Add some more to the list see if you get a bite
Saw Phil Parkes score one from his goal area with a drop kick in the 70's think it was against Leicester on a windy day down the bush it did one bounce then straight over the keepers head anyone else remember that ??
Peter Green was the reason I wanted to play guitar and get a Les Paul ! The pain in his voice and his phrasing on solos was unique "Love That burns" still gives me the chills another hero gone :(
Thanks for the get well messages all bolt out of the blue that was but a serious wake up call time to cut out the Ruby's and alcohol and start a new healthy diet god that's gonna hurt !!
Hey all just to let you know if you didn't already what a top man we have in charge at the club. I had a heart attack last weekend and was recovering in hospital pretty low when I received a video get well message from Mark Warburton wishing me a speedy recovery it's these little things that give you a real boost when you are down and with any luck i'll get to thank him personally sometime. The club is great for doing this and have been doing it for years even when Ray Wilkins was our manager he came down personally to St Mary's Hospital Paddington to spend time with my friend who was dying with cancer so top marks and thumbs up to all involved at the club these gestures really are a boost.
