My mate Ahmed Jamel Rachid Couscous who is a regular at the Takduht and Tajine Arms in the village, used to drive minicabs. He told me that he had Albert Camus in the back of his cab once and that the geezer was " an absolute camel's sphincter." |

Indeed...give that narcissist a year's supply of Mounjaro and a £10,000 pound hair weave and he'd still be a bald fat kn*b. I hope THB got in his face at the final whistle. |

Wrexham beating Swansea and us losing to Coventry were/are extremely likely events and need to be parked. Next up in our needs is a match day where Wrexham lose and we win...very feasible. Then the ultimate in 6 pointers will loom large...there's the season right there. |

The word doing the heavy lifting in the original post is "hypothetical". Isn't there a very old joke about a boy asking his Dad to explain the difference between hypothetical and practical. Well nipper he says, it's like this...if I ask your Mum and Sister if they would have a threesome with Brad Pitt if he gave them a million bucks each, my guess is they would say yes. Therefore, hypothetically we are millionaires, but practically speaking we are living with a couple of hookers. |

I got a bit queasy after the Cup game...the positivity dial seemed to go up a couple of notches too many. Plenty of talk about play-off place in sight, free flowing exciting counter attack football, playing for the shirt like never before etc. Eckert starts getting interviewed by national press as well as local and is suddenly tipped to be poached by a top European club in the Summer. It just seemed to invite a sudden reality check...and we got one. We do have a very good team, an excellent manager and a real chance of the play-offs, but there's plenty of graft left to do this season. Last night was no disaster...shit happens...I love Larin, he knows his limitations but gives 110% of what he has. We got 2 points less than some thought we were entitled to prior the game, but got one point more than we looked like getting during the game. Bring on Fat Frankie Lampard. |
 | Forum Reply | Barcelona fan ends up at the wrong St James' Park at 08:19 12 Mar 2026
This story tickled me.. First the chap, let's call him Lost Way José, arrives at St James' Park to find no sign of his beloved Barca. Instead , having been enthralled over the years by Cruyff, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Ronaldo, he finds himself watching the Grecians squaring up to the table topping Lincoln Imps. He is astounded how long the ball spends more than 20 feet above the ground and how every tackle brings an existential risk of maxillofacial damage, career ending ACL injury or life changing compound lower leg fractures. Post match he follows the crowd towards the El Loco Mahal where owing to his poor English he accidentally gets the Ghost Chilli Vindaloo. Clutching his stomach he boards a train to Heathrow and having no ticket he is smacked around the head by a Guard resembling Basil Fawlty who tells the other passengers "Don't worry, he is from Barth-a-lona." |

Whether a merkin can be defined as an article of clothing may be subject to debate. However it is a debate that would be very much in the pubic's interest. |

Agreed...We may also have some thinking to do because Wrexham and Ipswich games will need to be rescheduled....Ironically we have to decide Cup or Playoffs as priority. |

The Scousers CEO is probably on the phone to the FA as we speak to ask who muffed up and allowed their ball to emerge in the place previously agreed for Leeds. |

Yep....their line up will tell us what our chances are. Cup will come well below Prem and Champion's league in their wish list. Hope springs eternal. |

Something about this thread must either be subliminal or auto suggestive. Having read it, I was immediately compelled to ask my wife to order in a cod and chips supper tonight. |

Already spoke to a couple of Fulham ST holder mates. Silva is getting an absolute shit storm already for his team selection. What with losing to the Hammers the other day, the natives are well pissed off. The lesson is "Don't f*ck with the mighty Saints". |
