Know there’s risk of another failure but how Crawley can’t benefit from pink ball practice before next test is daft - along with few others.
Expect a bloodbath with at least Cummins back

Really poor, biggest opportunity of the series, Aussie minus 2 world class bowlers and a new opener and all done in 2 days.
Not good enough in test cricket to score at 5+ an over but only bat 30-40 overs.
Aussie will always find an innings from someone - don’t like him but great knock under pressure from Head.
Hope can be a competitive series but not holding my breath.
Let’s see how mental coaching guru Gilbert Enoka works his magic before 2nd test…

Looking forward to this & hope competitive.
Still a surprise kicks off in Perth not Brisbane where so much history (Aussie success).
Spinner situation is weird & Aussie batsman will end his career if not up to it - targeted far more accomplished spinners in past.
Lyon so successful & have irrational dislike - seems like chap who’d cause a ruck in the pub then hide behind big mates as kicked off - nothing to base this on but am convinced…
Great opportunity for England to create at least some doubt in the always self assured Aussies & go 1-0 up.

Long way from any control or plan let alone dominance.
Can play well for 20min spells but then overdo it or get one or two yellow cards.
Robertson has lot to sort out before WC & has had long enough now for it to be his side.

Think even cassette tapes making a comeback.
Do play records again but fighting any possibility of spending too much $$ on adding to my time capsule collection. Just get top couple of albums each year as Xmas gift based of Spotify recap - well that’s the proof confirming what you already know are your faves

Agree with this & if Windies had couple of blokes who could bat that series could have been interesting. Matches (& series?) likely decided on 1 or 2 partnerships that take control. Really looking forward to to this as only getting one test series in NZ v Windies.
For some reason playing 20:20 & One Dayers v England on your way to Aussie - is pretty damp spring so far & hope can get some games in but far prefer a test or 2.

Worst flight / service / food etc on a plane?

I loved arriving at old Hong Kong airport - you could see what folks were watching on tv in their apartments.
I had same air pocket experience coming home from Kenya as earlier poster - as a kid Mum told me to look at crew and if they’re fine you’ll be fine. Crew were terrified & feck knows what the drop was but took while for stomach to catch up

The drop off was incredible & even when coming down under to play for Brisbane in A League he looked completely shot. He should’ve torn the league apart but barely broke a sweat.

Lot of NZ eyes on this due to Chris Wood who only needs 9 goals to get to 100 in Prem.
Must be gutted to see Nuno go and has been in form of his career - not sure he is an Ange player.

Chris Whittaker All The Colours of the Dark is brilliant read.

Lions 2025

Last tour of NZ was 2017 & brought load of fans over & created great buzz wherever games played - main cities & some regional games as well. Went to Wellington test that we lost & good chats at pub crawl to ground as well as in the stands.
Filthy weather & Sonny Bill sent off early for a league shoulder “tackle” but couldn’t get too pouty as too much joy in visiting fans. Think the lengthy gaps between tours maintains the enthusiasm from NZ perspective.

Surprised to see a shout out for NZ’s finest Allpress - where did you find them? Have set standard for coffee vvankers in NZ and even picked them out in Melbourne laneways amongst all the other offerings so clearly ingrained.
Allpress now pivoting into Olive Oil and set up in beautiful location on Waiheke Island - not sure if that’s made it to UK yet?
