They cut over to Sherwood and he started going on about how it was a poor game and he couldn’t see Coventry scoring and just as those words came out of his mouth they scored. He then brain farted his way out of it.
With him on one end of the pundit panel and Merson the other, it was often difficult to see who was using the North London brain cell.
Actually that’s probably a bit harsh on Merson. He doesn’t try to be anything he’s not whilst Sherwood is an imbecile trying to pretend he’s intelligent. Blokes an absolute clown, always miserable and negative.
I remember seeing an interview with Arsenal and England Physio Gary Lewis where he talked about medicals.
He said there isn’t really such a thing as a pass or fail of a medical. It’s just an examination to determine risk. Eg a player has little or no injuries so is low risk whilst another player has a history of problems with injuries in a certain part of his body so is considered a high risk.
The medical is as brief or thorough as the buying club decides. Bigger clubs are more thorough and take less risk (in theory) than smaller clubs.
All we can determine from this (if true) is that something has come up on the medical that has led us to change our minds. Doesn’t mean the player can’t/won’t sign for another club who are prepared to take whatever risk we weren’t.
In ten years time, no one is going to care or remember who finished 2nd or 17th in the 24/25 season but I guarantee people and especially Spurs fans will remember winning the Europa League…
