I think you may be thinking of 1995. These days a rather large number of clubs, for better or worse, the recruitment role has minimal direct input from the manager. Clubs that do it properly have a consistent philosophy for both the managers they hire and players they sign where both skillsets are aligned so that when they inevitably have to sack a manager, they don't immediately have a playing squad which doesn't fit the needs of the new manager.
Or said differently, the exact opposite of what we've been doing over the last 20 years. |

We'll get another 6-10 points. Not sure how, and it's depressing but not surprising how quickly we can turn a half decent season into a massive clusterfck and relegation battle, but we'll survive. |

Absolutely nothing against doing it, but I always avoid it. I get the offset of getting something good out of something bad, but I'm the opposite - I don't want even the smallest part of me sad that something good happened (or bad didn't happen) |

Mine was ok yesterday. I had some trouble with the initial launch but I emailed the club and hey said they'd fixed something and it seems fine since, with the right comms. |

7/10. Decent. Not the problem, but not good enough to overcome the problem. Spin the wheel again, maybe we'll get an 8 maybe we'll get a 5. Unless we get a 9 or a 10 though we'll be having the same conversation next year |

Not anymore, to get BBC news (in US) I now have to pay $50 a year. There's other websites. |
