He may not arrived at the same time but all from the main same source. We drew the short straw with Bazuna. I for one sincerely wish I never ever see him wearing a Saints shirt. A complete an utter pillock bowing down to the Irish narrative. Gavin Bazuna has ruined his career by letting politics get the better of him. Pushing himself in the spotlight on such a delicate, sensitive and dare I say it dangerous subject is only going to curtail future transfer opportunities for him. He needs to shut up and let his football do the talking. |

It’s not sad just stating the obvious. He was in my opinion and I know many other Saints fans agree with me,?was downright awful when playing for Saints. If any opposing player shot from outside the box Bazuna’s anticipation was zero. He let so many sloppy goals in and cost us countless points. A totally overrated player and extremely lucky to play international football. He arrived as a Jason Wilcox package along with Hayward-Bellis, Adosi and Charles. Football is about opinions and I just don’t get the hype with him. It’s your opinion that you think he contributed to our long unbeaten run of 2023 / 2024. I would say that he benefited from a well organised defence in front of him. |

Sadly influenced by the loony hypocritical paddystianians. He should concentrate on shot stopping. Without doubt the worst keep ever to don the Saints goalkeeping shirt. It’s a certain irony that he was replaced by the highly talented Peretz who is of course Israel’s number 1. He’s played against Qatar who are no angels when it comes to observing human rights and never said a dickie bird. Jumping on the pro Palestine band wagon is becoming fashionable and in particular Celtic and Ireland seem to be at the forefront of this movement. Also Ireland recently played Afghanistan with their Taliban run country at cricket with no noise whatsoever coming from the Irish Government. He’s trying to make himself famous but it certainly ain’t for his goalkeeping skills as we have all witnessed at first hand. |

Every successful team is built on a solid defence. Sadly we are miles off the pace. [Post edited 20 Sep 2025 17:29]

No spine to the team. Bazuna-awful. Made a right balls up for the first goal, he should have bloody caught the header. Harwood-Bellis-had an absolute stinker, worst ever performance in a Saints shirt. Azaz- Bundled off the ball by Northerners who want to win. Downs-My God where do I start ? What is it with our recruitment policy that insists in investing in centre forwards with pony tails? Not even an upgrade on Mara and he was poor. We ain't ever going to win anything with this clown in charge. [Post edited 21 Sep 2025 2:29]

Agreed. These cocky pricks didn't expect old boys in their 60s to put them in their place. Ever since they came down the Dell with Andy Cole when when we scored 3 in injury time I have always disliked the Geordie prats. Almost as bad as John Bailey's Evertonians. |

It all kicked off in the Itchen. Pissed up corporate Geordie road workers antongonising Saints fans. Some of the old Saints boys took exception to these tw@ts taking the piss and retailated. |

This forum is surely about people’s opinions isn’t it ? The fans are never going to all agree that is human nature. After last year’s disastrous season and the debacle of hiring Jones and then the aftermath of Selles trying to salvage the already doomed wreckage it’s understandable after 4 straight defeats and leaking goals for fun in September that some Saints fans had enough. Thank goodness we have this board to air our frustrations. I am old enough to remember Lawrie Mc having hot dogs, coffee and all sorts of rubbish being chucked at him when he made his way past the West Stand Dockers to the dug out back in the mid 70s after he took us down. What we all didn’t realise at the time that only a couple of years later we we would be on the global football stage with Pedro Rodrigues collecting the FA Cup off HRH The Queen. In September I was critical of Martin’s style of football as it was just not achieving the results and success that us long suffering fans deserve. Give credit where it’s due Russell Martin is turning the club around. |

Tippy tappy possession based football with no substance or end product. Coupled with an absolutely useless goalie who can’t anticipate fook all except when his over inflated monthly pay hits his bank account just about sums up the current crock of shite that wear our beloved red & white shirt. A totally inept, pathetic, turgid, poor and pathetic performance. Welcome to the northern Championship that means more to them then it does to SFC. The last goal sums up our embarrassment of a goal keeper. A downward header straight at the fooker. He has to be dropped and bring in Mcarthy. |

Fair play and a good structured response. As we have our Tella back where he rightfully belongs, his experience last season will help us “ do a Burnley”. I am not miserable just disappointed that we didn’t win. Russell Martin seems switched on and sharp. When he guides us to the illustrious heights of the Premiership then he will be held in legend status by the fans the same as Atkins until his tenure was in my opinion cruelly cut short by Cortese. Bring on QPR to a cauldron, hostile, amphitheater of noise at SMS. |

We are entitled to be moaning buggars. Family, job, SFC it’s my passion in that order. Like the majority of Saints fans it makes or breaks our weekends when we win. I am disappointed that we didn’t win today. Last weekend I felt a huge burden has been lifted from the club after the outstanding performance at Hillsborough. What a brilliant totally dominant display from the Saints. Today was great for the entertainment factor but give me a scrappy one nil win any day as opposed to a happy clapping lovey dovey 4/4 draw. Bollox to that, rather be top of the table enjoying my Saturday night out. Just an opinion of a Saints fan that’s followed our beloved club through thick and thin since 1972. Russell Martin is a media upgrade on the Welsh Druid that’s for sure but I would rather he spent more time working on our defensive frailties. We ain’t going to win Fck all of we can’t defend set pieces. Btw KWP is a shite defender in my opinion. Great going forward but bloody ell, his defensive attributes are woeful. Just giving my views, I know everyone has their own but that’s what this board is all about isn’t it ? Up the Saints. |

Well that's the Russell Martin bounce back feel good factor over ! Same problems as the previous seasons. We just can't defend. When are our managers ever going to learn ? You can't win any football matches without a decent defence. In over 50 years of watching the Saints, Bazuna has to be the worst goal keeper ever to don the number 1 jersey. He is absolutely bloody useless. Same as last season, nearly every shot on target seems to go in. A lucky draw. A pat on the back to the players for a battling draw but goodness me, shocking defending. As Souness would say too many defenders going to sleep at crucial times of the game, Manning especially for the 4th. As a pro footballer not being able to control the ball with his right foot in a dangerous defending situation is unacceptable. I suppose this is the standards and levels of performances that we have to get used to ? Rant over. [Post edited 12 Aug 2023 17:15]
