I've posted on another thread the dramatic decrease in our performances in the past 3 weeks. On Boxing Day our first half performance against QPR was probably our best half of football since WBA under Laudrup. We followed it up with an excellent hard fought home win against Luton on the 29th December. That win left us just a few points off the play off spots. Around that point the Luke Williams links to WBA emerged and things started to go dramatically wrong. Losing 4 nil away to relegation placed Portsmouth on New Years Day was a dramatic turn around to say the least. That was followed by a farcical few days before the WBA home game with all the speculation about Williams moving to WBA. A major distraction to our preparation for our home game against WBA a few days later when we completely fluked a draw. How that was achieved goodness knows. Our cup match at Southampton was a complete disaster all down to team selection. The match was a complete farce. The club has fallen apart at the seams since winning against Luton on 29th December followed immediately by the WBA/ Williams fiasco. This is likely to have a huge financial impact on the club. 1. Losing out on a play off place which seemed a good possibility approaching the new year. 2. A loss close to 1 million pound by getting knocked out of the FA Cup. 3. A potential loss of millions of pounds losing Harry Darling who it seems was close to signing a new contract moving into the new year (as it was reported on this site prior to the Portsmouth match). The drastic turn of events is down to one person - the manager Luke Williams. All the talk about compensation having to be paid to Luke Williams by terminating his contract should change to that of us taking legal action against Luke Williams and receiving financial compensation from him for the millions he has cost our club in lost revenue in just 3 weeks.
When he came off injured sounded bad news. Commentators kept reiterating this. Luke Williams interview indicated he was feeling unwell so hopefully not serious.
Playing so well for Leeds again tonight. Seems certain Leeds will make his move from Tottenham permanent in the summer. Levy will command a big fee. Have we a sell on clause in place? I would have thought so.
We've had some memorable Swans wingers over the years. Brian Evans and Willie Humphries Mickley Conway and Kevin Moore Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge. Wingers bring excitement to a team. Looking forward to seeing wingers back in our team again.
As an ex player I'm really enjoying the publicity they are currently having. Great little series on them with Harry Redknap etc on YouTube. Sorry don't know how to do a link but if you enter Specsavers Cwm Albion you will get it. Its a good watch. Enjoy!
Presumably promotion to the Premier League would be one of the add ons in the Piroe deal. Similarly in the negotiations with Southampton for a potential Wood deal. Seems it may have been the case with the Obafemwi deal at Burnley. Surely this is a major conflict of interest for a fellow Championship Club and only a matter of time before the EFL ban it. Or is this already the case? I'm confused.

Apologies for throwing a random name into the mix. There are no links with him as far as I'm aware. Another poster mentioned his name a few months back. Watched him closely last night and he looks a very decent player. Potential replacement for Piroe?
Club need to offer him a new contract immediately. After yesterday's game I'm sure Dehlia Smith would have had a word in his ear and laid the foundations for him to move there when they get rid of Wagner (which could be sooner rather than later). Common knowledge she is a big admirer of Russ even before our masterclass yesterday. As it stands now I guess we would have next to nothing in compensation if this were to happen.
Lyn Phillips ex Police Football Liaison officer sadly passed away yesterday after a long illness. He was known and respected by so many football fans and colleagues throughout the country. He did a first class job. RIP Lyn.
