As a youngster Jonathan Clark from Brynhyfryd was a phenomenal talent. I remember seeing Tommy Docherty going into the headmaster's office at Dynevor school to discuss signing him for Manchester United.
Sadly Jonathan never reached his full potential although Docherty did go on to sign him on 2 further occasions for Derby and Preston. A lovely lad Clarky.
Darling WAS my favourite player but he is moving on simple as. He was clearly looking to join back up with Manning hence his original links with Bristol City. Manning moving to Norwich has clearly protracted the process hence him stalling.
Darling originates from Cambridge - hasn't he business interests in Cambridge? if so Norwich and Manning is a perfect fit for him. Good luck to the lad.
You're not far wrong there. Jokes aside I rate Russell Martin but he needs the right players to adopt his style. Could do well at Rangers in my opinion. Incredible to see ex Swans managers at Celtic and Rangers
Darling is a real threat from set pieces and most certainly not just tap ins - but not at all costs. He spoke to my son at a cricket match in Murton last year and made it known he loved it here and was settled. Time to decide once and for all for the benefit of both parties and importantly us the fans.

I don't think it's sneaky at all. It's weighing up all our options which is wise. I like Alan Sheehan what Ive seen of him as a person and more importantly what he has achieved in 2 short spells in charge. However short term spells by interim managers are quite often successful. Cardiff have had quite a few Riza being the most recent example. His start I believe was as good as that of Sheehan's. Gary Monk through his respect in the dressing room had an immediate positive effect and to his credit maintained an improvement for a season or so. In the end though his footballing philosophies did not align with the supporters' and the so-called "Swansea Way". In the last 20 years at Swansea we have been blessed with wonderful brands of football. We are quite right to consider this with our next appointment. Alan Sheehan has given us some short term success and the players have run through a brick wall to support him but would a long term appointment turn us into just another team? rather than a team different from the rest attractive on the eye and with an attractive style and brand of football that we have got used to over the past 20 years or so
Yes Carl Slee's family are cousins I believe. Don't think the Screen brothers are related though maybe wrong. Fond memories of the Screen brothers - both local lads and went on to play a bit in the Swansea Thursday league after the Swans. How times have changed.
