QPR and Bristol City cancel each other out with new autumn fashion lines - Report

Two games in, it's clear that Marti has introduced a new idea on the training ground. It's called "not losing". After our recent dire form, I'll certainly take that to go on with.

Bittersweet symphony — Report

Clive, first of all, thank you for keeping us informed/entertained all season. Graveyard humour worthy of a Samuel Beckett award. However you are so right, whatever meeting between the powers that be takes place needs to be an inquest, not a celebration. This has been an absolute car crash of a season, every decision on managers or players shall we say, not obviously right. 🙄
We seem to be in the same situation as 4 seasons ago, 15 out and 15 in. "They" have to trust GA who I hope has a list of G1/2 players in his pocket. Sack whoever chose this season's bunch of losers. (And if that's how I feel when we win....)

QPR exit Highway to Hell at junction 21 — Report
at 21:39:51

Clive you really deserved that. After all the misery pieces, an absolute chunk of rare steak to sink your teeth into. I don't know what GA has been putting in the tea but he's turned a group of nice well mannered young boys into a pack of rabid dogs. And to quote Clive Revel Horwood, "I absolutely loved it, darling."

Perhaps Micky is thinking Venables? Get promoted, decent season, off to Barcelona. Don't know about you guys but I'd take that. (As long as he didn't recommend his old team mate Scott Parker on departure...)

QPR falter, letting Luton in for rare win — Report
at 20:58:53

I think I saw this one coming. A team steaming for revenge against Mick's "lovely boys". We needed an extra big guy at the back and commander in chief of shithousing Johanson out there. But... our top man is playing all these teams for the first time. Keep the faith.

Just love the idea of Ilias Chair chasing the Hull team bus up the A1. Nice one. The little fella really is the Championship Maradona.

Josh Bowler, stop me if you’ve heard this one before, QPR, etc. — Report
at 00:03:39

Agree the time wasting was outrageous, but frankly if we couldn't score in 94 minutes the ref could have added another 94 (rather than the pathetic 4) and you know what, we still wouldn't have scored. Very worrying, as were the deeply delusional post match comments from Beale. Can't believe I was watching the same match.

More Peterborough pain turns the natives restless - Report
at 18:42:08

There was I thinking "well if you take Barbet, Wallace, Johanson, Willock and Dykes out, that's a group of influential players" ... and then I remembered they all played against Millwall, to no effect whatsoever. Ouch. Have we done a Schteve, flogged the same dozen outfield players, have them knackered in February but tried to replace them with players nowhere near as effective? (And the continued overuse of the two Prem loans certainly stinks to high heaven.)

Feel your anger. But look at the table. That dotted line just below. The playoffs, not our usual fretting about 50 points. But. If you (we) rely on 5/6 players age 30+ then February is an accident waiting to happen. (Team of men, and all that.) Time to give some of the younger ones a go, win or lose. (Says one of the older ones.) Keep the faith.

Paint by numbers - Report
at 23:08:42

You could comment on Rangers, how Amos is left to be a one man midfield, how our main assist/goal man is forced so deep, how our two strikers are so far apart they may as well communicate by 2nd class post... Or you could comment on Sunderland, who put out a team which was young, fit and quick, three qualities not seen in a Sunderland side for about 15 years. Well done them, and good luck next round. But that would be like saying "apart from that Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?" The big decision that turned the game was a Halloween horror show by referee Frankenstroud and his team of partially sighted assistants (all part of the FA's diversity drive, I understand. Way to go.) An absolute monster of a decision, one of the worst ever. We await the apologetic letter which will no doubt make us all feel better.
And before I forget, top marks Clive for putting that piece out and managing something that could be seen before the nine o'clock threshold.

All the time in the world - Report

Lyndon McDykes was absolutely immense, monstering their defenders all afternoon, two (repeat two) goals, an assist and defending the last ditch at 3-2. Must have been an enjoyable report to write, leaving PNE supporters looking a bit like their defender when Dunne collected the ball in their net, certainly another enjoyable read.

Chair's redemption double dose gets QPR back on the horse - Report
at 21:01:01

Big Mick played 5 centre backs on Saturday for Cardiff. Thank God we keep playing football, win or lose. Thought the word there was "pragmatic" - boss picks team from those available, to a system that suits them (unlike against Barnsley) to get a result (clean sheet, score) by whatever means available. Job done. We can polish the ideals at our leisure. (No reference at all to Labour conference there...)

This is getting serious — Signing

The north east Norway origin certainly explains the tash. Obviously a tribute to the local marine mammal population, one of whose number has kept me amused all summer as a series of boaters tear their hair out while another dinghy goes under. Wally has like Stef decided there are better places to live than the coast of north Norway in wintertime. Welcome both!!

Brilliant, Clive. You call most of the Championship (well nobody could have predicted the utter mess at Derby) and then call the Champions League final right as well. Top marks!
