Kone is good when he gets service in the 18 yard box butI think he is running on fumes which is why he looks sluggish because there is no one to replace him or give him a breather
What does the performance department do at QPR because our fitness is shot to bits and think that has been highlighted every week and magnified when we played boro whose players looked stronger and fitter than us from the first minute to the last. Also why does it seem like we are running in treacle from the 60th minute every week>?
Last night was a debacle especially the first half and there were a number off issues I saw throughout the game
The lack of creativity in the midfield since madsen went down. The lack of fitness . We looked like we were running in treacle Lack of shooting why don't we shoot when we have a chance instead of trying to pass it into the net The defensive fragility and the lack of tracking back by theikes of Vale Serious lack of depth - Kone has been off it at points in the last few months but we have no one we can change him to as our strikers are injured The lack of natural wing play and getting balls in the box The lack of simple balls and awareness
Over the course of this season there have been a few issues that have been noted from the upper loft
the amount of soft tissue injuries The fact after 55-60 minutes are players look like they are running in treacle The general lack of quality balls in the final third The fact we have run players into the ground due to lack of depth The lack of updates on players injuries The general lack of depth The fact we are playing Joe Walsh who is no where near championship quality The lack of being able to do the basics (see boro game and simple passes) The naive defending
Let me know if there are any more issue people can think of
After watching the turgid display on Saturday where our passing out from the back left much to be desired I do wonder what additional business we shall do. For me the following should be done transfer wise and current squad wise
Sell Willock for a nominal fee and a percentage of any future sell on fee as the man is a husk of his former self and was an absolute waste of space for the 60 mins he was on the pitch (i bet I was not the only one in the ground hoping his calf had gone when he stretched for the ball)
Look to bring in an impactful youthful winger from premiership or abroad for no loan fee who actually has some pace and can cross a ball (Smyth's crossing has got better at his crossing )
Continue to give EDB a chance in midfield. In recent times he is the only midfielder that is taking the ball from the back and pushing on with it.
Consider playing Chair in the Dykes role behind the Sinclair so he get more involved in the game and potentially play either Paal or Larkecbe as the attacking left midfielder and left back.
Practice attacking set pieces so they beat the first man and look for alternatives to Paal and Chair taking them as they have been poor recently
As the January transfer window comes closer and closer to shutting for another year it makes you want to look back at the transfers we have brought in and wonder who was the worst transfer brought on under the stewardship of Sir Les as DoF.
For me there are two 1 Macaulay Bonne (allegedly 1mil plus from Charlton) 2 Taylor Richard (biggish loan fee and then 600k plus add ons)
