The Senedd wisely goes out of it s way to support preexisting Welsh VOLUNTEER groups and charities.
This is morally good and good economic practice. Most are Wales based with one or two overseas like " The size of Wales" charity
I a was at a mental health event last month and Drakeford did an introduction talk. The Senedd support volunteers. I as a voter and ratepayer agree they should. Food bank counselling facilities someone to talk to etc There weird three or four volunteer groups there.
I am pretty disgusted with the attitude of some groups linked to Reform and anti Senedd for targeting these volunteer groups by highlighting, in isolation, efforts to help people who gave already gained asylum. It seems pretty sick to me to see some grey people some themselves on on benefits (often self inflicted ) bad mouth these individual volunteers helping others in an even worse predicament.
The Senedd is right to support these volunteer groups while including limited and proportional support for overseas causes. (with domestic benefits of experience gathering and PR benefits).
Wales need Global investment. We need to have a global foot print. In time of cuts the Strata canto not cover everything. The Senedd should support charities and volunteer groups and do. The scheme in the OP is just one scheme . Agitators agitate.
The Uganda money was £250k last year £5k a week. The cost of one gardening g crew of 5 or 6 who plant daffodils in Victoria park in Neath. [Post edited 19 Dec 11:50]

I have traveled the world and picked up different perspectives. I lived a decade overseas and learn languages. I do not worry about criticisms from lightweight s o on here.
It have actually been to Palestine and Isreal back in the day and Egypt. I spent a day listening to milk and honey BS.
Stop annexing land of Palestine and you can have peace. Carry on and innocent people will die. It is the core issue. It is simple. POTY 2023 ( retired undefeated). [Post edited 16 Dec 21:37]

When Isreal stops stealing land owned by Palestinians peace talks van start. There has been no sign of this for 60 years. Steal land expect trouble it is human nature.
This is the root cause of the on going violence since 1972 and before. Heavily armed fundamentalist Isreali Settler millita run kill Palestinians who object to their bulldozers in the West Bank. When they stop there can be peace.

Some Reform follower are anti Welsh traitors. If Wales gives up it international status and the Senedd we are toast. I am no fan of wokeness but it is a small price to pay for self determination the Welsh fought for for centuries.
As I understand it ths woman who wants dog racing abolished is the same lady who pressed for the green tree planting charity in Uganda. It was a bargain to get the budget agreed. I can live with it.

It could be a long wait for you. I am no fan of the people economic policies ok f Corbyn and others. He has as been consistent in opposition to failed milli tree art adventures in Iraq. Afghanistan Libya and Syria many proposed at the behest of Israeli lobbying.
The West has been dancing to the pipes of Isreali far right armed millita settlers who like Russia are stealing land that does not belong to them. |

You do not understand this most probably. The contacts to middle east investors is in place at least Fluffy rainbow Welsh people wanted Drakeford to lecture the Qataris on private matters like gender below the waist interactions. No wonder we are struggling.

If I had plans to break onto a n RAF site and vandalise a very expensive jet I would expect either to be violently arrested or shot on the spot. We laugh at Russia por security but at a time of stress we are no better.

I am Welsh first and British second. I do not wave flags at anyone. I support Swansea because they are local and Welsh. If they were transposed to Leighton Buzzard I would not support the badge.
I agree with you that we get a good deal. I am not complaining. I like the status quo but would go for more independence down the line.
Wales had a semi autonomous status and a Parliament. I do not want Wales to lose the privileges that come with this status.
There is an anti Welsh groups on here who love flags and poppies and carry with them views I object to . The view of surrender. Abolish self rule abolish the s Senedd shut the airport hate of BBC Wales etc. They are a negative group a fifth column. All state have them.
Wales will lose a lot of value if we surrender our " international status". When peopie dislike something " cost" is the argument. It is fake.
I respect my history. Welsh people have a Senedd n because our ancestors fought for it. You are comfortable ignoring them . But then again like many 1800- 1940 s immigrants perhaps they were not actually your ancestors.

In Turkiye the nation took in 4m Refugees running away from Asad's and Russian bombing ( and some Turkish UK France US).
They were fellow Muslims " brothers and sisters" and called guests. They were issued temporary iD cards which have now expired.
Now they are invited to return home as the crisis is over. By using the iD card all State services are with drawn. Syrians understand the welcome is over and their family would be better off in Syria.
We can do this in UK but only with consent if the locals for the set up of a digital iD linked to all services. Those not eligible to get here can do cash jobs but cannot benefit from any services provided by the tax payer. Refugees can return to their home when appropriate. Their id card s would be time restricted

The Senedd has spent relatively small sums supporting the poorest of the poor in Uganda with £250k last year. It is green charity and good PR for brochures and websites. I think it was agreed when agreeing the budget a few years back as a bargaining chip to approve the budget.
Anti Senedd people have made hay over this unfairly and people who gave no sense of value have complained bitterly over it. The £250k should gave gone to the NHS even some silky people suggesting fraud.
I gave argued that it is OK as it is tiny but probably better spent in Wales.
I was pleased to see the Senedd supporting restoring ancient forests in Wales too.

Without the Senedd Wales ceases to exist as an international nation. Without an international status we lose international events like football rugby and part and culture.
EUFA will clearly reassess whether Wales deserves an international team with no parliament. You appear to care a little about this to your credit. There is no free lunch
Why is Wales different from England with our own flag Parliament and international sports teams? It is because our ancestors FOUGHT and DIED for it. Some of us care this other do not. We are privileged. A National football team with no flag in the United Nations. The Senedd must stay whoever is running it.
For me it is a very important symbol. Immigration is fine as long as it is under control. In England it is out of control because Westminster was asleep. and is now horribly divided skipping from one failed scheme to another. [Post edited 30 Nov 17:34]

Most focus is on London and in particular inner. London. I do not live there but most people think of black kids on bikes stealing phones off women.
While shocking and worrying for them it is not that serious as crime go..
I worked with n Lol ndon day and night on the railways for 5 Summers and never saw a crime it even anything like one. My view of London was it was safe and cleaner than I expected. 2012-2017. |

The tax free allowance affects me more than anything. I read some that it had not been raised since 2021 and projected not to rise until 2031. This is a stealth tax.
I do not mind tax if everyone is making cuts. Fist to go would be the British Olympic team.£300m+ for Los Angeles flag wavers.

We live in an era of mass migration. It got worse after th " war in terror" and the forced collapse of middle eastern Dictators. .
The same people who claim " we want our country back" are the most vorcirforous in opposing Digital iD cards.
I lived in Turkiye for over 5 years and they have mandatory ID card s which are randomly checked by police.Turks accept this as the nation is a migrants highway and they suffered atrocities.
One wonders if the " disappeared" have any contact with the NHS or other services or simple slave workers in sweat shops.
We have a choice. Give up some privacy and allow Police to do randed m checks with mandatory id cards or the current situation where millions of untaxed people graft on services paid for by taxpayers while making big profits for foreign born crooks. [Post edited 26 Nov 19:10]
