Think failed communist states where all the money goes to the top, but those below are all controlled. The five remaining self-declared communist states are: China Cuba Laos North Korea Vietnam In states often referred to as "communist," a political elite or ruling party leadership typically enjoys a significantly higher standard of living and access to resources compared to the general population. Some animals are more important than others but all the others must follow the rules. The president of China is far, far richer than his people. Likewise the president of North Korea. But they are communist countries? All control except for the man at the top? The controlling bit is key. I.e. If you want a Pompey ticket, you must all follow the rules, we are all equal unless you an executive for P and O or a player's wife. Some fans are more Important than others. Which animal was more important than the other animals in animal farm? Will the executives / elite of the club, travel on busses without food and drink? Will they sit on a coach for an hour before departure? Just like these failing states, SFC is failing with its controlling, toxic culture, where people like Tonda are too scared to speak out. Adam Blackmore "Surely today is an example of how important it is to get a leader att the back' Tonda "Now is not the time to discuss this. I can't say" Sports Republic OUT. Hopefully there are huge protests Saturday. [Post edited 13 Jan 19:42]

I will also be writing to them, and looking into the legal actions that can be taken. To not have access to water in particular for possibly two hours on the coach and much longer if you can't afford to pay for food and drink, is technically illegal, and for them to say that you can eat and drink but you have to pay, is walking on dodgy ground. Making people leave so early is also ridiculous. I don't mind the bubble but let people eat and drink, and leave later en masse wth an escort, close the roads - I can't see what the problem is with that. It was fine when we played them in the championship a few years ago. Sports Republic are real f@cking communists. Think how Tonda is controlled from those above and managers before him, the Itchen North getting closed, free pies only for those who go with the official travel (in other words, you.must travel with the club or you won't get a thing). What a boring tie zzz. At least we could have got Macclesfield, PL side or something interesting. Hopefully the ticket prices reflect how boring the tie is. |
 | Forum Reply | Stoke away at 00:05 12 Jan 2026
No problem. As you put it, these numpties don't care about the fans. If we sell 1500 seats and they close the sales period, they would rather that than put another block on sale and have to pay a few seats that don't get sold. They don't care that few hundred more fans might help the team, just that they don't lose any money. |

Was he one of the trouble makers, just useless or both? Alfie House certainly didn't mention his name as one of those who should stay. |
 | Forum Reply | Stoke away at 22:45 11 Jan 2026
Or more likely, they track the rate of sale and it has gone down to selling just a few tickets a day, and have to make a decision whether to take another block or not. Taking another block means having to pay for any unsold tickets, and they wouldn't do that now that only a few are being sold a day. Far too much of a risk that they might lose a couple of grand, if we only ended up selling half the block. They rather pay someone to check the data and rate of sales. |

I am not sure they will suffer the consequences. You would think so, but Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton go from strength to strength. Bournemouth have lost a lot of good players, Callum Wilson and others. Brentford lost Mbeumo, Ivan Toni and few other top players, add to that losing a great manager Thomas Frank. After all that, they recruit well and are now 5th in the premier league. Saints are just extremely badly run by terrible owners. Our owners sell our best players and then replace them with vastly inferior ones, and our managers get worse, each one in turn. Plus the culture is toxic, whereas at other clubs it's not. |

I appreciate the point being made, and full credit to Semenyo for continuing to play well for Bournemouth all the way up until the transfer. However, had Bournemouth said no to the transfer in January, and told to wait until the summer, would he have been so professional then? Perhaps he appreciated Bournemouth's willingness to let him leave mid season and so is being good to them back. Something we will never know. Again though, Bournemouth have dealt with this well, without any dramas. Sides like Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton run their clubs so dam well, despite losing their best players. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/co Oh, so the players are giving their absolute all, and still getting thrashed 4 nil, and beaten by Oxford and Norwich. Is he trying to say "We are all sh!t"??? The lies and spin are just ridiculous. Do these players think the fans are stupid? [Post edited 8 Jan 7:52]

Absolutely right Saint22. Dyche is a strong, experienced leader. Why Sports Republic try to pretend that experience doesnt matter I really don't know. I would like to see who Solak's doctor is. I doubt he has a 28 year old novice straight out of medical school. |

Just cancelled a thread, as you put one up just before! Yes, West Ham in big trouble. Would love to see West Ham down in the championship with us. What a leader Dyche is. [Post edited 6 Jan 22:04]

You're spot on there. Micromanagement is everwhere at the moment and it doesn't make for a happy environment at all. [Post edited 6 Jan 18:01]

What's the problem at Saints then Nick, if Spors made the right decisons? Why are we losing to the two teams in the relegation zone, Norwich and Oxford? Why have we just been thrashed and embarrassed 4 nil.by a side who spent far, far, far less on their team? Another bad managerial appointment? Disgusting players who don't give a sh!t or a bit of both? Or the players just not good enough? Call out their disgraceful laziness or say it's the terrible recruitment again or call outbthe terrible culture created in the club by the idiots at the top. Who appointed Still and then Tonda? Why did we bring in Romeu? Just a PR stunt maybe? I could fill this page with all the mistakes being made by the idiots who "run" i mean destroy our club. It's a mess isn't it. Call them.out. As for Stephens, there are plenty of clips of him over a decade. They could have put a few on maybe? They gave him the 3 year contract then didn't play him!! [Post edited 6 Jan 16:22]

Boo them then. Call them the disgrace that they are. Boo their every touch of the ball. It's all about them isn't it instead of their fans or their club. The greedy, selfish b@staads. When these players start a game just sing "You lazy, selfish b@staads, you lazy, selfish b@staads. And over and over again. [Post edited 6 Jan 16:05]

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/fo "I always want to interfere in what the manager is doing" Too many cooks and all that. These modern ways, and Saints are full of it, are a load of data driven, complicated, confusing, flawed, possession stats nonsense. Sorry Alex Ferguson, Gordon Strachan and many more managed without directors of football and data analysts interfering. What is the point of having the manager, if those above want to make the decisons? Same reason Liam Rosenior has been appointed "head coach" at Chelsea, so that these above can make the decisions. It's because there is so much MONEY in the game nowadays, the owners want more say, all for MONEY. [Post edited 6 Jan 15:01]

You're right saintmark1976, I don't recognise my club anymore. We used to be a family club, that fought against adversity, a club where the fans were valued. The players and directors used to chat to fans in the Dell car park, they mostly always gave their all for the shirt on the pitch. Players like Benali, Dodd, Le Tissier, managers like Mcmenemy, and Starcahan etc who were honest, sincere and real. Now it's players and directors you can never speak to, a distant club owned by people who don't give a toss about the fans, entertainment on the pitch or the players even. They only care about making money and that's it. The players lnow what it's all about too, they sense the culture and gone are the days where loyalty had a place in their hearts. Football is not was it was in general too, with foreign owners telling managers how to play, who to buy etc. I am not sure how this will end, other than disaster, but the demise of SFC and the future relegations to league one that I can see coming is so depressing. Either the owners will sell up, or they will wait until administration and the bitter end. [Post edited 5 Jan 23:57]

The response and plan going forward is the key thing isn't it. Maduro was a nasty dictator, and the vast majority of Venezuelans, many who are starving etc will be happy he has gone. I have seen reputable newspapers reporting celebrations.. If things improve (they couldn't get much worse than starving and no money in general life), then it's a good thing. Trump doesn't follow the rules, but it doesn't always mean it's a bad thing necessarily. We shall see if things improve or get worse for the Venezuelan people. I bet we wish someone would break international law, and kidnap Putin? [Post edited 5 Jan 17:25]

Totally agree. It's all about owners making money nowadays, and this influences which players are brought in. |

https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/ne So Man U have sacked their "Head Coach / Manager" after a break down in relationship with Jason Wilcox. So the manager dared to stand up to those above him and the result was getting the sack. Is this how it works in football now? I have no interest in Man U, other than looking on as a neutral at how they keep failing for the size they are. The ex manager said "I came here to be the manager of Manchester United, not to be the coach of Manchester United. That is clear,” he said on Sunday. The link to Saints is clearly Wilcox and these people in the board room keep f@cking interfering and telling the manager what to do. I wonder how much this is going on at Saints, hence Eckert is just Head Coach. It's only people like Still and Eckert who accept this, hence never appointing anyone (with experience who knows better) who will argue. What a shame that the days of having a manager, who ran the whole club seem to be disappearing. [Post edited 5 Jan 14:08]
