 | Forum Reply | Are Plaid going to win the Senedd vote next year ? at 19:07 9 Jun 2025
It's not often I agree with Trampie but I do on this. When Labour were the senior partner Plaid got crumbs, it'll be the same for Labour if Plaid are senior partner. Better for everybody if the vast majority of Labour voters went elsewhere. We've had enough if Labour in Wales. If Labour aren't going to win are labour voters going to happily give Reform a lot of seats? Time for tactial voting, give up on Labour and give Plaid a majority. It's Rhun ap Iorwerth Or Farage. |

It's very obvious people aren't equal but the aim has to be to treat people equally in most repsects. People don't have to be equla to be fair with each other. That is the big problem, the greed is good mantra has taken hold. Capita;ism doesn't work, not just because of greed but also because of corruption as those at the top will do anything to retain their share. I don't think we'll last 20,000 years, we'll be luchy to make 20,000 weeks. It's not just climate change, it's destruction of habitat, the forced extinctions of so many creatures essential for our world to work, insect life, sea life, we are killing it off and quickly too. Doctors deserve better but they are hardly alone. You're right though, we are too stupid to do anything about it, everyone seems to think somebody else should pay or somebody else should go without. One day we will ALL go without. |
 | Forum Reply | Growing the Economy at 18:21 9 Jun 2025
nailhit squarely on the head there. If we had all those things and we had better roads, proces were lower and the economy was performing as well as Denmarks? What we have though is high (ish) taxes but with a badly failing public sector and no politician clever enough (or who has the the will) to change that. |

To be fair I' don't know that Yusuf is as batshit crazy as Musk or the Donald, that was one relationship doomed to end badly. I think Reform are a few pegs lower on the looney tunes scale. Srill well above normal mind. |

Ahmed Yassin founded Hamas. Former Israeli officials have openly acknowledged Israel's role in providing funding and assistance to Yassin's network as a means of undermining the secular, left-wing Palestinian factions that made up the PLO. Yes it has backfired in the long run. When were the last free and open elections? slate.com/news-and-politics/2023/10/was-hamas-elected-to-govern-gaza-george-w-bush-2006-palestinian-election.html Hamas hasn't allowed an election since 2006, 19 years, these are the people you are defending, they rule becaue they deny democracy and thy took full power by force. murdering Fatah members to take control. In fact, as it says in that web address, around 50% of Gazans weren't even born when Hamas took power. Now then, what is the relevance of what happened in the 80's to your defence of Hamas today? Hamas are murderers, terrorists yet you seem inclined to want to blame Israel for everything. |
 | Forum Reply | Better-off pensioners to pay for WFA U-turn? at 18:54 7 Jun 2025
If they are not onvolved with these companies when they are Mp's etc, then as soon as they leave politicis they get offered very well paid part time jobs with the inference often being that while they weren't openly telling these companies things, there were things going on. try proving it though. When George Osborne left politics he took 6 jobs didn't he, one as newspaper editor and where were his qualitications for that job, how does somebody do 6 jobs in a week? The system is corrupt, the rich keep getting richer, we keep getting poorer and whoever we vote for, that keeps happening. Thsi WFA U turn, we'll see but I don't expect much from it for a lot of people. |
 | Forum Reply | Israel arming Palestinian gangsters at 18:41 7 Jun 2025
As I have said, BOTH sides need to stop. Hamas are not an innocent party who get civilains killed by accident and Israel are committing war crimes too. Denying what Hamas are doing just makes you suspect. There are very few innocent parties in Gaza, besides the civilians who are paying a heavy price. Defending Hamas is as despicable as anyone absolving Israel of blame. |

Take care of yourself GV. Find someone you trust, talk to them, a problem shared and all that. Don't try to get through it by yourself, we all need help from time to time. That much I know from personal experience. |
 | Forum Reply | Israel arming Palestinian gangsters at 18:09 7 Jun 2025
It's not just Netanyahu who wants a "forever war" because Hamas are hardly a peace loving bunch either. it seems quite simple to me, either they will both stop OR neither of them will stop and there is an inevitable outcome there that will only rile up some Muslim countries and possibly provoke an international crisis as well as Netanyahu being decalred a war criminal by all and sundry. Israel and her leaders cannot keep doing these totally unacceptable things and hope that events in 1940's Germany give them a get out clause. The Holocaust happened but it is not a cover all bases excuse to commit war crimes. Oct 7th happened but it does not justify this. Even in saying that, why does Hamas still have hostages? How many of their own people have to die before Hamas sees sense? AND, why do the people of Gaza allow Hamas to use them as human shields? |

One of the big problems is that dentists have been leaving the profession, and/or leaving Wales. The BDA thinks this will drive more dentists away so while technically, yes, everyone might have a dentist, how long are you prepared to wait for treatment? How long are you prepared to wait in between check ups? Then, what when you need an emergency appointment? There are a lot of questions. |
 | Forum Reply | The Denatl Access Portal at 17:48 7 Jun 2025
Well copy and paste the address and read the blurb. You can have your say there too, there's a link to a questionnaire. I had my say, I have concerns. As I said, imagine living in Skewen and getting an appointment in Cardiff. Maybe that can't happen but given the very poor way previous ideas have been planned and implemented it doesn't fill me with confidence that this plan won't have big flaws. |

bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5yqwy1yl8yo Under these plans we'd be "allocated" an appointment and pardon my cynicism but who knows how far away that could be? Imagine living in Skewen and getting an appoitment in Cardiff. Then, if they say your teeth are healthy you'll wait 18-24 months for the next check up. It's a consultation until the 19th June, make sure to have your say. [Post edited 7 Jun 17:44]

That's where I'd put my money. All the faces I've seen pictured with him, some very powerful people, some rich people, at least a few of them will be as guilty as him and wouldn't have wanted him singing like the proverbial stiil pigeon. |

To be honest, finding out how much is spent on taxi's ferrying children to schools really shocked me. It's no wonder there is no money. Then somebody posted on here about a familky that get a disability car because of their kid and the kid still gets the free taxi to school. It can't be sustainable. I'll keep on saying ot though, think long and hard before voting Reform. |

That short termism is the real problem in politics, the government and the opposition are both guilty of it. That's why things re getting worse in every area. Our debts are rising, the deficit isn't dropping, the interest on debts is reaching a crippling amount and prices everywhere are rising too. Honestly, I don't think it'll be long before they talk about the previously unthinkable and start debating scrapping the state pension. They'd have to give incentives to young people to invest in a provate pension (besides a work pension) but I think it;s coming. Worse still, because of the mess made by our governments over the last 50 years, it HAS to come. The welfare state needs a massove culling and people need to work, there are jobs for almost everyone, even if you are housebound you can use a computer. Though obviousky there are gebuine cases where some cannot work. The welfare state is no longer fot for purpose. |

Anybody who really is going to vote for Farage should have a good hard think. If it's a protest vote they want then choose local independent candidtaes and fill the Senedd with non affiliated local people who actually care about their area. All Wales is to Farage is a means to an end. |

Gordon Brown also robbed pension funds which David Camerons government had to deal with, that also cost the tax payer a lot of money. Our politicians have played (and continue to play) games with our futures. This latest nonsense from Starmer, I have no doubt it's to try and scare us plebs into accepting there will be tax rises in October, it's either that or spending cuts so either way us plebs will suffer. |
