I know people who went to Scotland for the rugby. Some may not want to believe it but there are those who follow both sports. |

I saw something today, it looks like Jane Dodds hasn't been entirely truthfulabout her "rescue" greyhound. It may be shitstirring by the greyhound lobby but nothing surprises me with politicians now. |

The part I disagree with is for Welsh people BY WELSH people, these decisions need to be made for Wales by Welsh residents. In 2021 215000 Welsh residents were born outside Wales and I'm sure that figure has risen. All Weslh residents get democratic representation and I'm sure you'd agree. I do agree that if the Union is to survive and prosper then things have to change, Wales has to be given the tools to do the job. If the Senedd has all the tools and still cannot do a decent job then things need to change again. |

And the Libdems and their dog racing malarkey hasn't helped either of them, either! |

100% agree. Our local park here in Skewen, the cricket club has taken over the running of the cricket AND football pitch andto stop vandalism AND the useless dog owners who don't pick up the poo, it's been fenced off. I don't like it but I understand why. When the people doing all the hard work who literally put their own time and a lot of money into improving facilites then they won't want it being damaged by dog walkers and kids. Then they apparently spent over 30k having it all fenced off. It's happening in many places, it happened in Waunarlwydd not long back What annoys me just as much is these places are leased out and still our council tax goes up. Your basic point still stands though, academies hover up a lot of youngsters, those left behind don't get out and play and those "released" just give up because they think they are crap. nTeenagers can't be bothered to play, they'd rather be on consoles and make out they're Messi because they can score from 30 yards on a tv. All this elite hype is ruining football at a basic level. it's taken the fun out of it because as soon as parents think they're kid has enough talent the pressure builds and... shoutoutuk.org/2022/01/31/the-dark-side-of-football-academies-no-one-wants-to-discuss/ Sorry but it's a copy and paste, for some reason my laptop won't let me post a proper link! |

Could it be for similar reasons that Trump and Vance have succeeded again in the USA? Maybe it's because Farage et al play to the crowd and promise to do what the people want whereas the people have largely gotten used to the same tired old parties making promises and then doing nothing like? |

Very true but even so, this would be the right thing to do. What I don't know though, is why YesCymru are taking credit? Are they represented on the 15 councils? What influence did they have or was it just the councils making a logical choice that gives Wales nearly what Scotland has? |

I'm only saying the expansion and change to the voting system should have been voted on. That is a major structural change to our democracy and the people should have had the final say. They never would have put it to a vote though because they know it would have been voted against. Starmer and the benefits system, I have always said that benefits should be means tested and we should never give welfare to rich people. On the other hand, what he says about welfare discouraging people from working is also true. Welfare should have a way to encourage people back to work as well as supporting them through bad times. |

You could just have reduced that down to...."This nonsense he keeps spouting" because that'd do. Still no answer from mango, over 48 hours and he still cannot come up with appropriate BS. Fiction is harder to write than truth. [Post edited 10 Mar 20:39]

 | Forum Reply | No club buses to Watford at 20:18 10 Mar 2025
Then you look at the ticket prices and realise Watford are cheap, 20 quid for me, a fiver for my 16 year old so 25 quid. Treated well by the away team, ripped off by our own travel. Four people in my car, 15 quid each, 65 quid for tickets...110 quid. Just the bus travel would have been 186 quid. |

Is the world really less safe though? Or is it just that we didn't know as much about these things because it wasn't rammed down our throats? I don't know. Our son and his friends were always out playimg when he was 6/7 right up intil we moved home when he was 10, that was in Trallwn. |

Your second paragraph, as I have already said, very few people read a manifesto and even fewer governments implement all of it. Or in Starmers case actually go back on manifesto commitments, as most governments do to some extent. People notice what is put right in front of their noses, what they see on the headlines and what politicians say in interviews. All the proof you need for the 20mph is that more people signed the petition than voted Labour. The changes to the electoral system and the increases in the MS's, in my mind, is something that should have been put to a referendum. These changes are too important to allow oliticians to make them without the people having their say. Manifestos are much worse than "aren't ideal" they are actually a massive waste of time because they usually contain things that some people would call lies, things the party actually have little intention of doing or intend to do the opposite. Ask a few people what they think of Starmer's pledge not to raise taxes for the working people. When politicians spend a lot of money on something that isn't essential whilst essential services are underfunded then I'd call it waste. |

You could give me the truth but instead you give me the usual BS. 10 bullets could kill 10 people but if you fire them all into one person you only kill one person. As for the rest GO4th&X. |

I've read some more of this, turns oiut doing what he's done has made him poor again. Had to sell his houses too. I've been a tad harsh on Mr Sheen, I owe him an apology, sorry Michael. I'm looking forward to the final season of "Good Omens" too. |
