Well who knows?
But the main difference brought in by Covid is the five subs rule - meaning that physical intensity goes on for longer over the 90 minutes (these days even more e.g. 100 minutes last night!) and players are working at their limit for longer. Hence all the soft tissue injuries and them breaking down more often. |

Like everything else in life nowadays, European football in particular is skewed to the 1% of clubs winning all the time and making as much money as possible.
The days of the European Cup in the 70s and 80s, when you had a wide variety of clubs winning it, are long gone.

Yes the key thing is that we seem to have a pattern of play properly instilled through the squad - so that even with squad rotation everyone knows their role and can execute well for the most part.

Look after a decent point away of course you want to win the next game at home - needless to say I hope we do but there's no guarantee we will. And if we don't, we still have 36 games to go; as much as we might have a surprise defeat at home we might have a surprise win away further down the line.
Inevitably you are going to get some fans who will sh1t the bed just because QPR doesn't win a football match. |
