They had heat lamps on from midday which apparently didn’t do the trick and it looks much like just about every match that did go ahead in the North. Bizarre. Funny for those who dislike Watford and more so knowing loads will have jumped on the bandwagon as it’s the sort of game they’d normally struggle to fill a coach for. |

Hull v Watford postponed at 2:40 because the pitch was fine but there was ice around the dugouts. The away fans should have burned the place to the ground. |

Neither do I but the alternatives aren’t exactly smashing the door down for his spot. He’s an inconsistent one for sure and in poor form but the squad is certainly better for him being fit if not always the XI. |

To make it competitive when they have the squad they do is admirable. Jamal Lowe still trotting about at this level in 2025 shouldn’t be happening. Needs a move to a UAE third division team to maximise the end of his career. You can see why other teams want Amass off of United. |

And called off scandalously late for the away fans. Altrincham v Morecambe called off just before KO yesterday but at least semi-local and understandable at that level. |

Hunter or Bannan? Would be one way of stopping him beating us albeit extreme. Obviously whichever tactics work (or don’t) will be considered correct (or not). Can just imagine giving Field that job as the nominal ‘ten’ and then JS gets slaughtered for not having enough going forwards and there’s little guarantee it would work anyway. Bannan is in great form (based on the Fotmob ratings anyway) so I can’t believe every team has failed to spot something worth doing including us. The bloke is just very good in a system made for him. Anyway, QPR 1-2 Bannanza |

I know we look back at what seems like 30 years of playing against him and the bloke being MOTM every time but it would be kind of mad to set up at home not in the preferred formation to counter one ageing player and I’d like to think Burrell has some instruction to do that job to an extent. They aren’t mugs across the rest of the team anyway. Good goalkeeper, plenty of experience, some pace. Form shows clearly they aren’t by any means good but they rarely get thumped. |

I don’t think he is. As with Kone this is a big step up and while he’s been superb in some games he clearly has some big gaps in his game which will get exposed sometimes. Both need to learn to be able to play up top alone as well as getting an understanding when playing together which I don’t feel is there yet. It’ll happen. Frustrating as their form has been after looking so promising, it’s one part of the team I’m optimistic for for the future. Far bigger problems in this team than the striker(s) IMO. |

He could but don’t think he will. The level is too good now and there’ll be great kids coming through like these two. Wasn’t that long ago MvG seemed unstoppable and at 36 should be at his peak but isn’t. Humphries is excellent, van Veen of course, players averaging 100 aren’t exceptional, 50% doubles etc. |

Not as big a Kolli fan as some but thought with little to no service he added something. Maybe play him for a bit. Or leave him on the bench for four games before leaving him out the squad entirely for a month. Whatever. |

That was tremendous. Bloke is lying on the floor and he sprays his silly little foam in a far less dangerous position for the free kick. Did he think Madsen had rolled six times to get there when he wasn’t looking? |

I’m sure it used to be a thing that teams did a lot. Rarely if ever now so it’s not just us. Just strikes me as something easy to do mid-game without making a sub. Some clever analyst has probably decided it increases the xG against. |

Eagerly anticipating the post-match thoughts on him/they/it. |

Didn’t help a lot that we attacked down the other wing almost every time. Rarely seemed to have the ball. I wish when things aren’t going well we’d just switch the wingers for a bit. Give the full-back a different challenge. All four who played today were dire but none played on ‘their’ side at all. |
