I think the window was as good as we could expect without selling because of the PSR rules. Did Santos not going and freeing up funds put a stop to the immediate purchase of Walta. As the loan contract is in place with the purchase to be completed on July1st [as per the official site] it is basically nothing more than an accounting exercise. His fee will not change, the terms of his contract are agreed its all signed by both clubs and the player. Well done by the club sorting out a difficult situation with a positive result as negotiations have been ongoing for a very long time and not just the last 10 days.

If our owners are serious about getting us promotion they will need to wheel and deal over a couple of seasons to improve the whole squad, that is the only way we will go up and stay within PSR.
