Are they deliberate, calculated policies or is Rachel from Accounts too thick to see the consequences.

And playing for Yugoslavia that day was a certain 'Jimmy' Hadziabdic.

Yes I understand he did turn to the booze after what he went through. I believe he admitted that.
I encountered him after those two events and found him to be a quiet, contemplative man.
And yes, he should be remembered as a legendary Welsh footballer who was fearless on the pitch but also a great talent.

On the subject of the Referee. He was an East German. Of course at that time both Yugoslavia and East Germany were part of the Communist bloc. Need I say more.

I was at that match I 1976 as well.
If my memory serves me correct Yorath missed a penalty. It was one of the best Wales teams I have seen up to recent times that was robbed of a win by a bent Referee.

Nearly got Wales to a World Cup Finals and the Swans a Promotion.

I understand your apparent disillusion with Labour and am experiencing it myself. But the worst thing you could do is abstain from voting. Too many do that and often the election result does not reflect the true feelings of the public. If you have a left leaning tendency then the Green Party might be for you or, in Wales, Plaid. However, I am not going to try and persuade you who to vote for but simply to vote.

Merry Christmas

Yes, Merry Christmas all who visit this site, whoever they support.

There is a lovely story on the BBC News site about a couple from Cardiff who took in a homeless man just before Christmas. Just makes you realise that amongst all the evil going on that there are some very kind people about who can make a positive contribution to society.

Who can this mystery person possibly be?

When corresponding with someone from the USA wouldn't it be natural to sometimes use their terminology, such as 'Fall' rather than 'Autumn'. I think that is a red herring.

Constant delays. Hardly a sign of a dynamic, forward thinking organisation.

Back in the 1960s there was a schoolboys enclosure for international matches at the Arms Park. If my memory serves me right the cost of a ticket was 5 shillings (25p).
Could you imagine the WRU doing something like that these days!
I know we are in a different, professional era but it seems that they are only interested in making money. No thought to the future generation of potential international players.

So , what about Santos
at 16:20 15 Dec 2025

My post was not intended to be personal but it was you that mentioned Key in your post about Santos.
I was simply making the point that we should not be dismissive about a player who currently seems to be having problems. Whether they go deeper than performances on the football pitch, I have no idea. As I have no idea where your reference to 'hate' comes from.
My comments are drawn from the lifelong experience of an 'old fart'.

I assume you were well paid and believe it privilege to wear the uniform and did you not ever work with someone or supervise someone who was not 'on their game' then perhaps found out that there was a good reason for that?
Key was, I believe, recruited for his ability and potential. At the present he seems devoid of confidence and form. He needs help and I hope the new coaching staff give him that help and get to the bottom of it all.
We can be very dismissive sometimes and fail to appreciate that football players are human beings, just like the rest of us, with all the baggage that goes with being human and, in his case, being a young man as well.
