How are the chuckle brothers getting us anywhere near play offs…. Can’t we all see where we are now… they signed 4 blokes in January…. As for stating if they stick around… they would be jam ass lucky we want to keep them… they won’t be getting a job anytime soon in a professional leagues over here. Everyone we play moans about how boring and dirty they are… they’ve managed to royally help our free fall. Concord Rangers got relegated this season they may come calling. |

Yes I totally agree. The whole things a mess and was shown up yesterday. Yes we have poor players .. but not all of them. Also he did make 4/5 signings which he has stated were the ones he wanted. DC has been given far to many free hits.. we have no pattern of play we do not have a identity partly down to the fact we don’t keep the same shape and team for more than 75 mins per week. They’re over complicating games and instructions. Just find the best 11 in the best formation and play football. Let’s try and make Colchester a better footballing team. Then the let others worry about us. Everyone apart from Robbie on this appointment has got to stand up and say we haven’t come to party…. DC had the pedigree, had the backing in January, somehow still has the support of the fans, the players not all but a few are clearly not that standard.. The club seemed lost last night. We have pinned our hope on DC since January but it’s just not happening. He is and will not save our club. They need to freshen up the squad and get a proven guy in that can get us mid table and stabilise for a season or two.
We don’t want a wordsmith is charge with more gadgets than curry’s and more coaches than national express….. please can we just have a team and manager that knows what they’re doing, who they’re signing, who they’re playing and how they’re playing. League 2 is bread and butter football. No thrills no spills just a hard long season. Hands up we go sold a dummy in DC Move on be done with it. Let’s not drag it out till Xmas next year. |

There was some very worrying points in that game for the lack of knowledge shown by the management. Doncaster number 7 had a whole postcode to his self. He was pulling Ellis about all over the gaff. Noah just refused to acknowledge him. The guy in the first half was literally in front of DC eyes and he was oblivious to him. What has Wilkinson done to him spat in his coffee or something. The guy can’t get a game for love nor money. When we have tired legs why not give someone fresh a game. We do not after 17/18 games have a scooby who is the best 11. It’s just a mess a massive lash up. We playing diff guys diff formations. It’s league 2…. Just play your strongest 11 players available….. I mean how much money are we waisting as a club on 3 coaches ( a designated set play coach ) I mean 10 year olds defend better. We don’t need to look at stats on a iPad. We need players that play football and manager that knows what he is doing.
DC is constantly shouting from the sidelines… every second of the game…. No one is even listening to him now. I’ve sat behind him since the day he has been there. You can see the players do not even listen now. They hardly acknowledge him now.
No blame can be piled onto RC on this one. He got them in January he got them 4/5 signings of their choice. Which DC on interviews has thanked him for. 4 signings and 15 + games… the tone is set… not all of our players are sub standard either. Let’s not get fooled by that.
National league is DC level. If we go down keep him. If not and we stay up let him go and try fine someone that knows what they’re doing. Robbie has never backed anyone like these in years… let’s hope he hasn’t been scared off by backing the next manager. |

I’ve never know any manager / management team get cut as much slack as this ever. The players are below standard. But so are the chuckle brothers. No Wilkinson up front who should be fresh as a daisy, brings on Brad for 10 mins. Lets their number 7 just Rome around with half the pitch to his self. While super Noah saunters about like he doing is a favour being there. Supposedly pressing from the front we are a tired team. Why no Richardson then why no Kelleher. The list of co*k ups tonight by everyone involved resembled a non league team. We have a set piece coach and we look like 10 year olds in the garden. The players haven’t been up to standard but neither have DC and NC. If they stay nothing will change. |

DC and NC are not the answer for next season. If we loose to Doncaster then we really are just staying up by luck. From January to now we have been dragged further into the shit …. I don’t think after 5 months at the club this can been seen as a success at any level. |

How has he steadied the ship…. We are now in the relegation zone when we wasn’t when he took over ?? …. It’s already been established on here that a lot of players still have a season to run on their contracts so we won’t be shipping them out. As to say we will be pushing for top 7 no evidence to back that up. It’s all wishful thinking and head in the sand stuff.
I believe we will stay up. But I do not think it’s going to be a walk in the park next season. |

But if we don’t think there will be an overhaul of players… no more than say January ( we signed 4 on loan ) why would it all change next season. Forget luck / unluck possession passes all the stats. We was 5 points clear of relegation when he took over ( looking to finish 12th ) now in the relegation zone. If someone had said when we announced him after 15 games he would have won only 2 I’d of been dumbstruck !! The league doesn’t lie we are going backwards! To win 2 games in 15 isn’t good in anyone’s book.
I think he is a lovely geezer and seems to know how to keep people happy ( fans especially ) people that are good at things get wins and make things happen. I don’t see him / them getting any better. It’s just overcomplicated coaching to mask the fact there is not a lot of substance! Time will tell I think we will stay up. But I don’t think next year we will be flying up the table. 15 games is enough to get a rough idea of that lays ahead |

I’m stuck on to why all the optimism for next season 15 games in and we are still in the shit? How many players are we realistically looking to sign next season? Maybe a CF but we won’t be getting 5/6 players will we. Maybe a few on loan!
Im not to sure all our preys will be answered next season! But here is hoping [Post edited 10 Apr 14:15]

We can not change them.. but maybe the ethos needs to change worry about our own house rather than the next door neighbours ( our opponents )
Agree a lot will and need to be shipped out.. but the new players will take time to bed in. So first half of next season will be bedding in.
Garner got sacked when we was in an injury crisis. I was super excited when DC was announced but other than making us harder to beat nothing is changing. Ok we have average players but not one player has improved under their management either.
They also make some head spinning decisions with line ups and Subs….
The clubs up sh*t creek. But I think keep turning a blind eye hoping on a wing and prey super DC is going to change the club on his own he won’t ! |

100% if they didn’t have the name with 15 games 2 wins they would be getting the boot! We don’t even have an established starting 11…. We do not have a clear pattern of play. We do not play a striker really. We actually set up just not to loose. By playing hopper and big John… you’re just playing 2 advanced midfielders! I don’t really understand why no one questions them! |

Having sat in W4 since DC took over I’ve seen DC/NC and their 2 assistance conflabing like school girls virtually every game.
DC/NC - always in the technical area yapping away. Some makes sense some it’s just white noise. Very rarely does it result in a goal. It’s just for him to keep busy.
Set piece coach - randomly jumping up shouting out to players who half the time look at him like he has recited the alphabet in mandarin. Who also lets midfielders take pens when strikers are on the pitch.
It’s getting way to silly for a club that hardly even wins a game. What’s happened to the basics of playing football. Do we even know what our strongest team
Is. Every week we are changing our team on the basis of what the data said on the team we are playing.
This is league 2 football how about we get the basics rite and pick our Colchester Utd best 11 and try and win a game.
15 games 15 points yes the players do let us down… but it’s coming to a point now where I think are the coaching staff letting them down as well.
No one but the goalie can take the blame for the first goal tonight … this post is based on 15 games not a goal keeper error. [Post edited 9 Apr 23:21]

We are sticking with DC majority of the fans like him / up top likes him. Also let’s be honest who will we get anyway. Personal opinion on some of the football decisions he makes and set up aside. I’d like to see him stick out his contract and not be sacked as per norm after 6 months ( end of the season in his case ) staying in league 2 or not. Colchester has to become a manager friendly club that puts the power and decisions into the managements hands…. If DC feels fit to call them out then that’s DC choice…. Let be honest. The players have got so many managers the sack. |

You’re 100% bob on. No matter what your opinion is someone somewhere is going to bracket you and cast some aspersions over you In a negative way. The hard working, family man in the UK is now something to be ashamed of. If you’re not living out of your means and trying to keep up with the next man / family on ( social media ) you’re a let down. Football clubs should remember without the working classes they would never of had a game…. For years the poshies were over the rugby and cricket….
Tv Money/ wages and overheads has corrupted everything. Including the clubs towards their loyal fan bases. I’m an arsenal fan along side col u…. But I never go to the emirates now… you hardly see a true fan! |

The western world needs to hang its head in shame. Our media is controlled no more of less than a communist country. There is as much if not more corruption in the western world. Last year in Russia 300 people were arrested for posts on social media…. In the uk 3,230 were arrested for social media posts. There is no freedom of speech. If you’re a white working class man in the UK now that automatically means your “ racist “ football is just as fuzzed up as the world. |

We definitely need to be pro active in attacking. We can’t just keep drawing. We need to put 2/3 wins together now … not loose the next 2/3 I’d rather win 1 loose 1 that draw 2 lose 1…. It seems the set up is not to loose. This is ok at the start of the season but with limited time now it’s we can’t afford not to win. |

Chilvers is sub standard he is no way near good enough. Messes up time and time again.
We struggle to keep clean sheets because with big John upfront it’s so one dimensional. The defence has his in their pocket. We need to start players uptop that can cause trouble with pace. We can’t play it through to big John just to him. Then you have to wait for midfield to link up.
Mingi has been a major plus coming back. I just wish we would have a settled starting line up and not keep chopping and changing.
2 more wins this season and 3/4 draws should see us over.
Can’t get my head round why Bradley was hooked and big John stayed on. |
