I’ve always thought, 100 teams in the league structures, but the 4th division split into north and south. The gap between national and league 2 is minimal and it keeps the travel costs down for most teams. |

This will be my 32nd location, I’m a bit of a tourist! It’s good to see so many of you still do it used to do it. I volunteered at my local one, Dalby Forest and that was fun too. I cant quite comprehend what it’s going to be like with 1200+ runners, but more for the experience than the time.
Very oddly, at 45, I’m faster now than I’ve ever been, in all distances up to 10k. Very odd. |

I’m slightly addicted to parkrun, did my 99th today and next week travelling down from Malton to Bushey Park, the spiritual home to get my century.
Followed by a trip to the other spiritual home for the Bolton game.
Is anyone else obsessed? Any interesting locations/achievements?
I’ve seen the odd QPR fan in far flung places and always wear my QPR runners when I do a new course. |

Being a Qpr fan is more about us all supporting a football team. It’s like we are part of this weird and wonderful family, we are all here supporting you and your wife. |

One of my good pals is Villa, we are both random as live up in Malton/Scarborough. Went to his local to watch it, they made an effort for him as he’s a popular fella and everyone supporting Villa. Really nice atmosphere. It reminded me of European football in the 90’s when we allowed back in and supported the English clubs. Well most of the time anyway. |

The first ‘proper’ band I saw, at Leicester De Montfort, May 97. Got right down the front, was only 16. Not sure kids nowadays have that privilege or freedom that we had. And you just watched and enjoyed it in the moment. No fricken phones recording it all. |

He’s fighting on Saturday on the Chisora v Wilder bill. Probably be on early doors. He’s rated 18th in the UK. Let’s hope he gets the win. Imagine a night of boxing at LR, headlined by a QPR fan! |

Thanks everyone for the input, good to see a well rounded debate. My takeaway is that, largely, if the house is 10-15 years or younger it’s a goer.
Dane - looking to have a similar set up to you so sounds like it will be worth it.
These discussions are so much better than football!

It’s fun being brainwashed, saved me loads of money with having an electric car and solar panels.
It’s also encouraged the family to get a compost and start a vegetable plot in the garden. We recycle a lot more now and it’s surprising what can go into the compost bin.
If the heat pump saves me money and is ‘cleaner’, I’m happy to carry on being brainwashed. |
