I was just going to say the same thing. Looks like a very good signing England Youth International and has played in the Prem. unfortunately picked up a bad injury which halted his progress.Power and Pace. |

Yes good news KVY re signing. Just need a gk and defence is pretty much settled. Looks like they don’t really fancy any of the trialist gks. Midfield looks ok especially with Oni pushing himself for first team action and Perry coming back from his long term injury. Attacking wise a winger and CF please. |

The game was played behind closed doors but according to reports we had a different GK trialist in each half. One was reportedly Daniel Barden 25 ex welsh under 21 Intenational . Came through Norwich YT but never really made the 1st Team and released by them this Summer. At 6ft 5 ins he seems to fit the profile to become a ColU player these days lol.
We drew 0-0 and missed a penalty . Had a strong side out first half including KVY. Different eleven second half mostly kids.
First half Youngest Lisbie played right wing and did well according to the club twitter. Kieron Connolly played CF second half I had forgotten him. YT product 21 in September on loan at AFC Sudbury last year where he was in the goals. Will be first team squad contender this year I think. |

That’s good news at least we have one RB now ( and he can also play DM) I haven’t heard KVY has signed yet . Hopefully he will then we just need a GK and defence sorted. Midfield looking pretty good just need to sort out the attack a LW and another CF ? |

Providing he is now injury free I would take Brad as a replacement for Samson if he goes( may have already left?).I don’t think he would be too expensive with the potential to move on for a fee again.
I do agree we need an experienced CF as well but they don’t come cheap. I would think we would need a minimum of 3 CFs in the first team squad and at the moment we only have young Jayden Williams who has only one season of senior football behind him didn’t get too much game time then and DC seemed to prefer using him more in the 10 role. |

I mentioned young Bradley as a possible before. I think he moved on higher level too soon. It didn’t work out for him at Peterborough but the kid is young and has talent. Did well under DC before could be a good replacement for Samson. |

That looks like is could be a really good signing.He will bring some experience and physicality to the midfield.Just need a 6 ft 6ins CF now perhaps we can coax Peter Crouch out of retirement lol. |

Samson Tovide not expected to stay. As I thought he is out of contract and interest from clubs at higher level. That leaves just Jayden Williams . We will need to bring in reinforcements hope for some new faces this week. |

I definately rate Shamal George . Depends if we think Tom Smith is first choice or not and look to bring in a number two. Also whether Tom Smith signs a new contract. |

I think Tovide is yet to sign a new contract as well so we definitely need at least one new CF hopefully one with a track record of scoring goals but they don’t come cheap. Maybe we are hoping to pick up another loan gem like Mbick. I see Brad Ihovien was released by Peterborough or maybe made available for transfer? not sure but I wouldn’t be surprised if we tried to get him back. |

That’s really good news Ellis is signed up and with the acquisition of Leake we look really strong in LB position. Just need to get RB sorted now.Hopefully KVY and Rob Hunt will also stay. Just need a new GK and defence is looking pretty good I think. |

I would be very pleased with Smith too but a bit of an unexpected one it comes off . According to Wikki Smith has been an ever present at Wimbledon and has a year left on his contract and would command a decent fee and wages I would have thought. Maybe we would use the Lisbie money? |

Following Lisbie and Read out the door Edwards is now off to Peterborough . Is this the start of an exodus of our out of contract players? Has RC slashed the budget again? Not looking good and not one single incoming yet. |

I am just a little concerned that we haven’t heard anything from the players negotiating new contracts yet. Read obviously got a better offer and cleared off I would think Ellis Landolo would attract interest from other clubs as would Owura Edwards KVY had a good season too but has had injury problems in the past so maybe not so sought after.I think Rob Hunt and Tom Smith are out of contract too.
I am not so concerned with losing Lisbie if we can keep Edwards and yes we have the youngest Lisbie coming through.Flanagan will need replacing at CB as well as the on loan players who left.
Up top we only have Samson and Williams . Samson is always keen to get a move and has been sought after in the past.
The next couple of weeks should be interesting. |
