I know the next game is Orient,a rearranged game at home to McDonkeys and I believe away to Notts County,,Can we play Bury again..? |

Not the best person to say this because I've only seen my beloved U's three times this season, and the last time was away to Orient when it was like watching Brazil.
The main difference from that team would appear to be the loss of the Arsenal lads.
I have said, on here a couple of times that we don't have a defence and it doesn't seem any different now. Could someone tell me what they did wrong today.
One other point, how many players are out of contract at the end of the season, because although the buck stops with the manager some players appear to be either not good enough or not interested enough.

Whats this,Wordsworth gets injured playing for the multi digits and tries to play on,with a spinal injury.He hadn't looked that determined for the U's for some time.Wish him well and a speedy recovery.

One of my very few moments of fame
1966.England 2-1 Portugal.Not a bad first visit,my one and only World Cup game(a Semi Final at that).
Next one was a boring 0-0 Home International against Wales,I know not when.
Next a 3-1 win against Argentina,it must have been 78/79 because we were singing"you're not champions anymore".
In the 80's,a draw against Spain schoolboys,i wonder what famous players were in that game.
A 3-0 win against Hungary.
Of course,more important than that two wins and a defeat for the U's.
Blimey,only eight.I should imagine most of you can beat that.

Weather's crap.
This comes under the the no posts by dinnertime rule,and I put forward the resolution that HPGL fixtures and cup draws don't come in to force with the aforementioned rule...not withstanding [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

My lad and I were having a discussion about an England schoolboys game against Spain(the schoolboys not the first team) that we saw at Wembley about 10/12 years ago(maybe more).We were thinking how interesting it would be to see who on the pitch that day went on to superstardom. But the internet has let us down...Then I thought,I know some men(and two gals) who might just be able to point us in the right direction... |

Pub Quiz help for boarders..
The Moon's orbital period is very close to its axial rotation period,thus we always see the same face..well + or - 1 or 2 %,which = a fraction on either side...of the visible moon that is..
