Genuinely asking. Where is Stainrod_Elbow? Thought he would be all over this. I don't particularly like the way he conducts himself but hope nothing bad has happened since I had my little break from the forum. |

I really don't know what happened yesterday. I missed the first few minutes and opening goal but then watched up to half time. Up to the second goal, I thought we looked kinda of in control. Some good football and at times looked dangerous. I really thought we might get back into it. Madsen going off was a problem but I just kept thinking we are either going to get back into it or it's going to go to $hit. I was quite surprised by the choice of Morgan coming on but in some ways I liked the fact it was a 'like for like' change. After the second goal and start of the second half I got the feeling the team thought they could get back into it and went about it to hard and just got picked off. The problem we have is the injuries. Heads need to roll for this situation and some of the players who are being picked as there in no other option are out of form. How Vale went off before Saito is beyond me. Saito is not the player he was. He had quick feet and was a tough little sod. Now he is in treacle and just gets knocked off the ball. I would actually play the Brazilian kid in front of RND. At least we might have 11 players on the pitch.
Walsh, up until this game was improving. He is by no means the finished article, but I am hoping this was a one off. He kind of reverted to the Walsh I remember before his injury. I don't know if Hayden is injured but he looks knackered. Running in quicksand. Even simple passes just been given away. I could see Varane coming in just to provide some physicality and athleticism. |

The last few weeks when we played one up top he has looked better. When we go to two up top I feel he tries to cover too much ground. Be the focal point. Work the width of the area and hold it up and get us up the pitch. It's his first season in the league, he is young and has had a rapid rise from where he was a couple of years ago. He will make mistakes. He also looks knackered as he had played pretty much every minute since Burrell got injured. I still don't think we maximise his strengths. However, worked hard and despite a bad miss. He came back, got the ball from closing down and with lots of time to decide what to do, (sometimes the worst thing)he finished brilliantly. He will prove his worth, no doubts |

He was raging against the injustice etc. That all came about from how his captained behaved. In this case, maybe he should just keep quiet. I also believe if you ask a football fan (who has no affiliation to him) what do you remember him for, it will be soundbites and nothing more. Passion is good. However, why did this all come about. His captain couldn't keep his hands to himself.... Twice |

Initially my Mrs thought he had nicotine stains on his fingers. In fact it was plasters on both his index fingers that he kept biting at during the game. Picking his teeth and generally constantly having to put his fingers in his mouth like a small child. |
