I seem to recall Oxford having a number of players out when we played them and Boro didn't have a centre back on the pitch for most of the game recently Is this the new "it's harder to play against 10 men"? Just have to hope for a win on Saturday, I'm getting tired of moaning and I'm sure everyones sick of reading my negative drivel |

Peretz will be number 1 now until the end of the season He left Hamburg because he wasn't happy being sat on the bench and I would imagine he came here because we guaranteed him first team football Just have to hope he's better than what we've had so far this season |
 | Forum Reply | That Valenciennes CB that we spunked £5 million (or 5 million Euros...) on at 17:07 13 Jan 2026
At the time I felt that paying this much for a young kid with very few games under his belt was a way of giving £5 million to Valenciennes to improve their finances For me there was very little to suggest he warranted such a fee Not the first time we've signed young foreign prospects but seeing the situation the club is in right now and the fee involved, it's not surprising that it comes under more scrutiny |

If Doncaster had scored in the last minute and beat us in extra time they'd be punting them out for 50 quid on the official website tomorrow |
 | Forum Reply | Charlton v Chelsea at 20:10 10 Jan 2026
I think his loan lasts until the 17th and I'd guess that we didn't put a clause in saying he couldn't play in the FA Cup Seeing as he's out of contact in the summer I wouldn't be surprised if his contract is cancelled or signs for Charlton for a small fee I like him, not a world beater but a steady performer and seems a decent pro |

Just watched the highlights on the bbc website, good double save at end Bearing in mind that he's barely played in the last few months, there's going to be some rustiness initially. Nice goal from Matsuki for the 3rd |

According to the radio he made a crucial double save from Billy Sharp at the end so to be fair there's another I'll have to watch the highlights to form a proper opinion |

A disorganized rabble managed by a milksop What could possibly go wrong? Positives from today, we won and Bragg scored his first senior goal...erm that's about it |

The obsessive collector in me immediately thought "I'll buy that" had to give my head a wobble as I wondered when id ever wear it, I stopped wearing replica shirts when I was about 16 and that's 35 years ago |

This is rather nerdy I know but I don't know why the club don't do a collaboration/licence with Admiral and reproduce the home and away shirts from 76/77 If you look on their website you can buy an exact replica of West Hams shirt from the 1980 final for 40 quid Years ago I managed to buy both the candy stripes home shirt, the one on my avatar, and the yellow away shirt on eBay, both in large boys size and ridiculously expensive [Post edited 9 Jan 11:32]

I'm hoping Peretz makes an impact like Boruc did when we signed him It became clear pretty quickly that Artur was a miles better keeper than Gazzaniga and Davis, even if he did have a shaky start I took an instant liking to Artur after the incident in the Spurs game when he offered out a couple of blowhards in the crowd, all while the game was going on |

Never saw Tall Paul play in the flesh so I couldn't comment With Bednarek I would imagine he was very keen to move on, another 46 games in the championship or likely to win a title with Porto this season, bit of a no-brainer I would imagine |

Stick him in a back 4 with full backs who can actually defend and pair him with a decent central defensive partner like Jimmy Dunne and I think he'll look much better than he's been whilst he's played for us You can also add a more experienced manager who's not tied to a flawed tactical system |

4.5 million according to my QPR pal He's very happy |

Before my time but my dad and grandad saw him play and I have happy memories of them both telling stories about those times in the long car journeys down to The Dell One of a select few players who scored more than 100 goals for Saints RIP Big Chiv [Post edited 7 Jan 21:44]

If I recall correctly Spors described Downes as a "must have" after we signed him in the summer Rather embarrassing that he's off after 14 games and contributed very little Hopefully he does well at Hamburg and we get our money back as I doubt he'll be back here or be keen to return |
 | Forum Reply | Striker leaving West Ham at 16:59 6 Jan 2026
True, but I don't think Wilson is out with a ruptured achilles Probably won't happen anyway, he looks like a Wrexham signing or maybe back to Coventry in an "emotional return" to help get his home town team back into the prem |
 | Forum Reply | Striker leaving West Ham at 16:42 6 Jan 2026
So was Patrick Bamford, who's done well enough during his short term contract at Sheffield U to possibly be moving to Ipswich It would be a big risk, even if it was on a pay as you play deal but a short term deal until the end of the season might work? Had to look up his stats as my recollection of him was a small nippy forward, he's 5. 11" |
 | Forum Reply | Culture problem at the Club at 21:20 5 Jan 2026
Is anyone really surprised though? Poor leadership seems to go right to the very top Its the same in any industry, I'm a painter and decorator and if I have to I sometimes do site work, on the good sites with good management its organised, the quality of work is good and it gets done on time. On poorly managed sites its easy for a toxic culture to breed, work is shoddy and even though you start with the right intentions its hard not to unconsciously start to go through the motions, take your money and get out as quickly as possible The point to this analogy is we signed very good championship players like Azaz and Fellows and brought back Charles and Edwards who all had fine seasons last year and they all now a shadow of what they were |
