They’d better be very careful electing a new Drputy PM because you don’t know how soon they’re going to be elevated to le grande fromage. |

The striker issue is not necessarily down to the individual. Our build up play has been measured in geological time for some years now meaning that the box is usually flooded with defenders by the time the ball gets there. Moving the ball forward quicker and getting it into the box at the earliest opportunity will help and I think we now have the tools to do that. Your point about hitting the ball as hard as he can becomes a pinball game when the defenders are all back so hopefully we can get him in positions where he’s got more goal and less bodies to aim at. |

I was saddened to see on Phil’s site that a very long time poster, Blaze had passed in tragic circumstances. I’m sure many of us on here remember him from earlier incarnations of PS and send our sincere condolences to his family. RIP Blaze. |

Well it’s already started and has done for some time. Quite when the job will be finished is the question. Not long unless there’s some pushback, which I feel us going to happen soon. |

Likewise pepper. Nor do I use much salt but if I do it’s lo salt. Rhubarb crumble with custard - heaven! |

Indeed, there’s lots we don’t know. I’m only going on TV interviews to date which to this gullible old bugger sound plausible. |

Yes, we are all waiting for more details. For me, the intention to leave the Convention is a first positive step but by itself is clearly not enough. |

Fair enough on the first point but to think that we’d go from the type of country we are to one like Belarus or Russia just because we scrap our attachment to the ECHR is a bit of a stretch I’d say. |

I’m no fan of this woman I admit but gullible I may be in thinking that the advice she was given was wrong but that she acted in good faith. It was not a simple case apparently and being in her position I can’t imagine she would do it deliberately to avoid paying the correct tax. If I’m wrong I’ll hold my hands up. |

I’m not sure if the relevance of those two states to my point Gwyn? We as a country need to be able to control our borders quickly and efficiently which going by AJ’s post seems difficult due to being hamstrung by legal instruments. |

Surely this is why Reform advocate the scrapping of ECHR in the UK and replacing it with a tailor made set of statues enabling to carry out the wishes of the electorate which in a democracy is a must. |
 | Forum Reply | Appeal process for Manuel Benson goes on : Idah furious at 19:34 2 Sep 2025
This is really good news. If we can keep him fit, no mean feat apparently, he can be a game changer in this league. To quote a Burnley supporter though, he is made of glass and an automatic target on the pitch due to how dangerous he is. This side has a lot of potential though my expectation are, as ever, being managed carefully! |

Shame that. You’d think there would be enough knowledge and experience at all league football clubs these days to prevent cock ups like this happening. I’m presuming from what I’ve read here that there was commitment on both sides for the loan to go through. |
