Wrexham were more physical and won every tackle and 50/50 ,they wanted it more and it showed Our subs weakened us making it easier for them We have to stop going into our shell second half and shoot more not trying to walk it in and push teams back When teams pressure us we cave We looked a completely different team second half last night, slow ,ponderous and lacking the ability and desire to win or even score We always let teams back into games after a good start because we bears off and get complacent Matos made mistakes last night and not for the first time couldn’t rectify it, Coventry next ,they only play one way …. Forward and fast and they are very good at it and a pleasure to watch Polar opposite of us second half last night night and many times this season I’m not looking forward to it |

He is a good reaction saver but He’s a liability for free kicks played in and around the 6yard box , he’s a big lad but never comes off his line to punch or compete for the ball and clear it I wish he’d play the ball forward quicker too instead of slowing the game down until all our players are marked up |

The points you make about our desire to win are spot on ,Matos needs a reality check if he’s happy with this unambitious ,slow, pointless possession for possession sake negative stuff he served up second half tonight ,he owes the fans who made the long trek north an apology…. And a refund at the very least !!! As do the players , that second half was a totally unacceptable, uninspiring, gutless performance that sadly we’ve seen far too often away from home this season, I hoped we’d seen the last of them when Sheehan and Williams left but sadly Matos is continuing with it and sadly for us he doesn’t seem to know how to do anything about it . They let Chelsea have the ball for fun without doing anything with it in the cup and if they hadn’t been reduced to 10 probably would’ve won, didn’t anyone on the Swans coaching staff watch that game!!! Every team we play know if they press us eventually we’ll go into our default mode of slow, negative sideways and back crap and they can relax and pick us off at leisure by just going wide or straight up the middle and scoring What is so maddening and frustrating is we see it so regularly and nothing is done to change it ,we just go through the motions and the end result is usually the same,it’s not at all inspiring or professional on Matos’ part , because his substitutions don’t really give much in the way of confidence that he knows what to do about it,in fact quite often they make things worse Oh and we’ve only got Coventry coming up , now there’s a team that goes onto the pitch with ambition and desire ….. I wonder if Matos and his staff have watched them !!!,after tonight, I wouldn’t count on it |

They let us have the ball as much as we wanted ‘ because we don’t always do anything with it ‘ that’s what Parkinson said and he’s right , Wrexham tried to play the ball into the box every chance they had because they wanted to win , we just did the same old sideways and back cack band tried to walk it into the net We look good playing fast flowing ,forward oriented football,it’s down to Matos to stop the negative stuff but he isn’t , he lets the players go to the default crap If you put your hand in the fire, you get burnt… if you’ve got any sense you don’t do it again , when is Matos going to learn and stop the tedious faffing about with goal kicks and the pointless slow and meaningless possession for possession sake cack we see far too often and try to win games , 70% possession stats might look good on paper but the only stat that counts is the score and Matos lost badly tonight Second half as bad as we’ve been all season ,the players looked like they didn’t know what to do and gave up Totally unacceptable |

We let them have space out wide to receive the ball ,couldn’t stop them crossing and were too far off their forward players Second half , losing , go to default setting … sideways and back !!! FFS Matos f’d up big time if he couldn’t see what we could we gave it to them, second half |

We f’d about when we did get near they’re box , shoot ffs ,it’s how you score , trying to thread passes through non existent gaps and walk the ball into the net is absolutely pointless as was shown tonight , didn’t anyone in the club watch them against Chelsea !!! … if not it’s criminal They were more physical than us like we knew they would be and we cowered in every challenge They wanted it , we didn’t , end of Somebody needs a long hard look in the mirror |

Hyam should have been penalised and a penalty given for the two shirt pulls in the first half and the blatant shoulder in the back in the second That said if you play the way we did second half you don’t deserve anything…and if Matos can’t see what everyone watching saw then we’ve got problems, sideways and back when you’re 3-0 up is fine but when you’re losing it’s mind boggling and completely disrespectful to the fans that made a very long journey on a Friday night That last 40 minutes is as bad as we’ve been all season, gutless |
 | Forum Reply | Wrexham v Swansea City : Match day thread at 21:47 13 Mar 2026
They aren’t clinical ,they are just getting the ball forward and into the box every chance they get …. We aren’t ,that’s what you have to do if you WANT to win football games We’re making them look like Real Madrid It looks like Matos hasn’t a clue what to do .. and they get a second This is embarrassing |
 | Forum Reply | Wrexham v Swansea City : Match day thread at 21:37 13 Mar 2026
Why have we gone to the sideways and back crap again WE’ RE LOSING ….get the effing ball in the box … that’s what all our opponents do FFS it’s not rocket science We’re trying to wail it in the net when we do go forward We’re playing into their hands And that shit ref is letting them |

You’re probably right Keith , it’s probably just the Swans fan in me Vitor turned us around this season and we can build on it for next season Who would have thought WBA and Leicester would be in a relegation scrap in mid March and Coventry clear at the top , this is a crazy division ,you can’t take anything for granted |

As I’ve said Vig is a brilliant reaction saver and has pulled off many great saves he had no right to get near and has saved us more than once but he does stay stuck on his line a lot and hesitates to come off it ,It’s just something he does It’s an observation not a serious criticism |
 | Forum Reply | Portsmouth v Swansea City : Match day thread at 08:43 11 Mar 2026
Vig did catch a few but was definitely at fault for the Portsmouth goal , he dithered on his line instead of going for the ball, which was only a few yards in front of him,he did come for one a little later and got a good punch in and cleared the ball Why he stays rooted to his line is a mystery ,he’s a brilliant reaction saver but doesn’t anticipate danger very well |

Agree with you on Cullen,he really is frustrating ,comes up with important goals without really looking like he should be on the pitch The break we had that he ballsed up had people around me seething ,then he comes up with a great goal He really is an enigma |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City v Stoke City : Match day thread at 10:19 5 Mar 2026
We always give wide players too much time and space , we never mark wingers tightly ,our fullbacks are never within 10-15 yards of them and only move towards them when they already have the ball, then they go past our fullbacks as if they’re not there ,that’s why opponents get so many crosses into our box , time and again,I’m in the East stand and when opposition centre backs are looking to get the ball forward we more or less encourage them to pass to the wings by giving so much space and yet our wingers are always marked properly which is why we don’t get as many crosses in It’s not rocket science science,if you mark tightly that player won’t get the ball and put us under pressure We also struggle at closing down the midfield and tracking back |

The FA should just go back to the old ways The pulling and wrestling would be given as a foul anywhere else on the field so give it as fouls at corners Defenders would stop so as not to concede penalties and attackers would stop to not lose a scoring opportunity Frankly it’s farcical and spoiling the game |
