Southampton Agree Fee For Blackburn Rovers Striker

Saints have agreed a fee with Blackburn Rovers for Adam Armstrong to move to the South Coast and now have permission to speak to the striker and agree terms according to Sky Sports.

Saints are said to be in pole position to sign Adam Armstrong after agreeing a fee with Blackburn, they are now going to meet with the player and discuss terms with a source saying this is not expected to be an issue.

This is good news. It's not guaranteed that Armstrong will continue his Championship goalscoring form in the Premier League but he has great pace which is a key factor at this level, and with the brilliant Livramento creating lots of chances for him, he should be fine.

It would be great if they could both play at Everton.

Now, we need to ask Bournemouth if they would please take Long back and, with Broja coming in from Chelsea, maybe they could take Obafemi on loan too.
