Yeah, away at bottom club Preston this weekend - followed by at home to 2nd bottom club Derby after that - two very winnable games. You couldn't ask for a better run than the bottom two clubs up next. I know you shouldn't 'count your chickens' etc etc (look what happened when we played at home to lowly Bolton recently), but 2 games we should be winning to keep the pressure on and up in the mix.
Maybe Tonda can work his magic at half time. It's only 1-0 so not much in it.
It all depends on whether Tonda has a change of gameplan for the second half & what, if any, changes he makes. Whatever he decides, we don't want more of the same second 45. That was utter dogshit if I'm honest.
I've got to take bowel prep ready for a colonoscopy tomorrow at the hospital while the game is taking place, so I might miss a fair bit of the action. I have a little DAB radio in the bathroom though right beside the loo, so Radio Solent will be a godsend tonight.

Another tough one this one. WBA are playing well - but so are we. I'm always tempted to say in games like these that I'd be happy with a point tonight... but sod it, we need to beat teams around us, so anything other than a win will be somewhat disappointing.

Been sorting out stuff at home and came across a few bits of Saints memorabilia that I kept from long ago. Brings back happy memories, that's for sure!
We won't be going up automatically unless we improve our away results. Despite a terrific win away last weekend, that is where we are dropping points.
West Ham, Swansea, Middlesboro & then Wolves are the top 4 best away teams in the league on current form (in that order). We're 13th on away form alone with W2 D2 L2.
Home form is superb of course - we're top of the current form league table on that note.
Just need to improve our away form if we're seriously aiming for the auto spots. I'm sure statistic junkie Tonda Eckert is well aware of that himself.
Ehibhatiomhan had his 21st birthday last week, so his career is at the stage where he should be making Tonda ask questions pretty soon. The Championship is a tough, tough league of course. But it would be great to see him make the bench/come on late in the game against 'lesser' opposition - as it were. I'm sure Lallana & Tonda speak frequently. I read a quote from Tonda over the weekend saying that we deliberately went with a smaller squad this season in order that some of the fringe players should step up when needed... and one or two gems from the academy hopefully, like Ehibhatiomhan.
