I'd give him a knighthood personally, but that's unlikely. |

Yeah, it sure looked nasty from where I was stood. I think it was payback for beating them at Wembley the season before! W@nkers. |

Because he probably couldn't play Rustyball with his feet out from the back... |

I remember the following season at The Dell when United came down for an FA cup game. There were so many ticketless United fans as well as shit loads inside the ground. I was stood in the Milton Road chocolate boxes & you could see the road outside through the holes where bricks were missing in the wall pattern. There were some ugly scenes/mass punch ups outside that's for sure. I was glad to be inside the ground! United certainly had some wrong'uns back then. |

We have nothing to play for - whereas Leeds could still go up "if" Ipswich lose at home to Huddersfield. I know it's very unlikely, but stranger things have happened in the world of football. Therefore, I'm expecting a stuffing at Leeds by a team that won't want to leave anything to chance... against a team that's low on confidence, form & a manager who hasn't got a scooby how to fix things. |

... unless there's 'Euro Super League We've got all the Money 1' and 'Euro Super League We've got a Slightly Less Obscene Amount of Money 2'. |

It won't work - and when it fails, the "big" clubs will eventually bugger off for real this time and form a European super league awash with even more obscene amounts of money in it than current levels. It's not about the football, the fans, the league titles & cups anymore. It's all about the money, honey. |

Sideways, sideways, sideways, backwards, sideways, sideways, backwards, backwards, sideways, sideways, backwards, sideways, backwards, backwards ,sideways... panic, panic, panic... sh1t, we're one nil down. Repeat for full 90 minutes. Cheerio play-offs. Oh well. If it turns out to be anything other - then I'm Basil Brush! |

I've just watched Hull 3 v Ipswich 3 and what a superb game of attacking, exciting football. A million miles away from what we are - both of them. Terrific game. What Sports Republic saw in hiring Rylan's older brother I'll never know. |

Pathetic from both Russell Martin and his players. They should all be ashamed after that gutless, clueless, negative, tippy-tappy-backwards-sideways showing. Is there any point in going up - if we're just gonna be next season's Sheffield United - only worse? We need to get rid of Martin and his dreadful, dull football. Possession isn't everything. Positive attacking football is. |

Twas a good, heartily sung rendition of "You lost the League - at Goodison Park' ringing out the other night. I just kept smirking, thinking of Mr Spitty-man's face... the absolute Grade A whiny tool. |

I'd rather the Gooners did though. |

Brooks's confidence is shot. You only have to watch Saturday's game at Cardiff when he rounded the keeper to see his mojo has gone. |
| Forum Reply | A loss of confidence at the worst time - or a one off? at 13:19 24 Apr 2024
66% possession last night - and still get thumped 5-0. That proves to me that Russell Martin's tippy-tappy 'keep the ball at all costs' football doesn't work - not with these players. Everyone knows it - except Martin himself. It's pointless keeping the ball if you do f@ck all with it. I saw RM's post-match interview last night & the guy was utterly embarrassing - totally clueless. Time to change the way we play by changing the manager. I'm done with him and his sidekicks. Sounds like most of the players are too - and just at the point in the season when we needed them to be focussed & together. Instead, they look as lost & rudderless as I've ever seen them. |

RM knows we've bodged it after the defeat at Cardiff. I'm expecting (and hoping) a few fringe players get a game tonight. Nothing to lose as it were. Can't see the point in our better players risking an injury that'll keep them out of the play-offs (ala Stuey). |
