The reason Hery has come into the side is purely down to what he has done in training and how he has developed his game. I was told last night by a source that he just wouldn't track back from midfield and has had to work on this solely to get his chance which he is now doing. |
That'd be fair enough, but how many games did he spend completely out of the matchday squad, when an appearance from the bench - with his obvious energy and talent - might have changed our fortunes in certain games either out wide or attacking from midfield, instead of bringing on Cummins for instance who offered very little?
It's all hindsight now of course, and we're promoted so this shouldn't be seen as criticism, simply a possible opportunity wasted to be a point or so further on going into the last game. |  |
