As long as I don't have to watch another load of turgid garbage like the leicester/liverpool/narch/stoke/watford/bournemouth games they can say what they please.

Wouldn't he have used the 'senior player' line if he's referring to Ayew? Although to be fair, I can see how the rest of his claims could fit AA

Use of "staff member" made me think it was Clotet at first. AA seems the best fit.

I thought Clotet too, but not sure who his 'friend' would be unless the Sevilla bloke which seems unlikely. Ayew fits if a) Bielsa was part of the 'conspiracy' and b) Bielsa has any 'friends'.

The Secret Footballer on Monk on 13:00 - Dec 17 with 3775 views | MagicDaps | Ridiculous claim by what is an unnamed source, from an anonymous journalist. Clearly it's nobody in the coaching staff, all of which are either friends of Monk or appointed by Monk. Clotet's also left the club. Ayew is the only fit to Bielsa, but Ayew's effort can't be questioned and his performances have been the rare highlight in recent weeks. Against Bournemouth he was the only player that offered anything going forward, and had it not been for his impact we'd be in a lot more trouble. The journos are going to give us stick, they always do when we make managerial decisions and they're going to do it even more so when it involves someone they'd have liked to have been given more time to eventually go on to leave us for England, but we've got to do what's right for the club and Jenkins is the man to do that. It's certainly not due to being undermined, I think if anything the staff such as the board will have been influenced by their friendship with Monk.

No doubt results were the main reason. As I've said before, all managers have to deal with player problems. The best overcome them. The irony of Monk being done in by the machinations of one of his players though is something even he should appreciate.

My opinion contrary to Monks ego is? Monk will never ever manage at Premier League level ever again. That horrendous run of results along with absolutely dire performances have seen to that? I just cannot see any Premier League chairman being impressed by Mr Zero-Shots-On-Target man? Another prediction? Unless a 'jobs-for-the-boys' club and opportunity comes a knocking..............KOL will drift into immediate obscurity and retirement! Who the f#ck would want him coaching at full time professional level?.......He's finished end off!

The Secret Footballer on Monk on 13:55 - Dec 17 with 3368 views | Pegojack | There might be some degree of truth in this, there might not, but the fact remains that we were fast becoming a joke of a football team under Garry's direction, heading for the drop. The Board were forced to act. We may still go down, but at least we're trying to address the problem.

The Secret Footballer on Monk on 14:55 - Dec 17 with 3073 views | jruss1 | What’s the odds the ‘secret footballer’ is friends with GM? As pointed out, he could maybe complain if he hadn’t done exactly the same thing to ML himself. And this kind of thing is part of management, if Ayew, or anyone else, managed to undermine the whole regime it doesn’t speak well for his future in management...IMO.
